\nThe\u00a0Livingstone Institute of Business and Engineering Studies (LIBES)\u00a0is a Government institution under the\u00a0Ministry of Technology and Science, established under\u00a0Statutory Instrument No. 7 of 2003\u00a0in accordance with the\u00a0Technical Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training Act of 1998.
\nThe Institute is located at\u00a0Plot No. 2621, Nakatindi Road, Livingstone.
\nLIBES invites applications from\u00a0suitably qualified, motivated, and experienced Zambian nationals\u00a0to fill the following vacant positions:
\n1. TRAINING AND CONSULTANCY MANAGER (01)
\nReporting to:\u00a0Principal
\nPurpose of the Role
\nTo plan, coordinate, and oversee all training and consultancy programmes at the Institute, ensuring quality delivery, compliance with prescribed standards of Training Authorities, responsiveness to industry needs and promotion of research and innovation.
\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Plan, coordinate, and oversee all training and consultancy programmes
\nEnsure compliance with Training Authorities\u2019 policies, standards, and accreditation requirements
\nSupervise Heads of Department and instructional staff
\nCoordinate curriculum development, implementation and review
\nMonitor training quality, learner performance, assessments, examinations and institute corrective measures where necessary
\nPrepare and submit training-related reports
\nPrepare, implement and monitor the training, research and consultancy budget
\nPromote industry linkages, competence and work-based learning
\nOversee product promotion and student recruitment initiatives
\nEnsure optimal utilisation, maintenance, and accountability of training materials, equipment, workshops and laboratories
\nInitiate, coordinate, manage consultancy services and short-term professional training programmes for industry, government and the community
\nPromote applied research, innovation and skills-based problem-solving among academic staff and students
\nCoordinate institutional research initiatives that support training improvement, industry relevance and community development
\nEncourage the development of innovative training models, new programmes and technology-driven learning approaches
\nSupport the incubation of innovative ideas, prototypes and entrepreneurial initiatives within the Institute<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Education, Training Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field
\nMaster\u2019s Degree will be an added advantage
\nMinimum of three (3) years\u2019 experience in training or academic management
\nAccreditation with\u00a0TEVETA\u00a0or a relevant professional body
