\nAbout the Role:
\nOur client is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented\u00a0Part-Time Accountant\u00a0to support their growing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on accounting and bookkeeping experience, with the ability to manage high-value transactions, maintain accurate financial records, and support sound financial decision-making. This role is well-suited to a practical, trustworthy professional who can work independently and maintain strong financial controls.
\nKey Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting and bookkeeping records
\nRecord and reconcile all bank transactions
\nManage accounts payable and receivable
\nTrack income, expenses, and cash flow
\nPrepare monthly management accounts and financial summaries
\nSupport invoice preparation and payment tracking
\nMonitor budgets and support cost control initiatives
\nEnsure proper documentation and record-keeping for audit and compliance
\nLiaise with external auditors, tax consultants, or advisors when required<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Skills:
\nEducation & Certification:<\/p>\n
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
\nProfessional accounting qualification or ZICA membership will be an added advantage<\/p>\n
Experience & Technical Skills:<\/p>\n
Minimum of 3\u20135 years\u2019 experience in accounting
\nExperience handling high-volume or high-value transactions is an advantage
\nProficiency in accounting software (e.g. Sage, QuickBooks, Pastel, or similar)
\nGood working knowledge of Zambian tax and statutory requirements
\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel<\/p>\n

\nWell-organised and reliable
\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision
