Job Description
\nTo facilitate the implementation and maintenance of sound and efficient procurement controls that safeguards the assets of the Company, in compliance with SGS ZM Policies, objectives and procedures, the requirements and fulfilment of the SGS Code of integrity and professional conduct.<\/p>\n
Develop procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective by Identifying, sourcing, and acquiring goods and services for the Company at the best value.
\nConduct supplier and product research to ensure the best products and suppliers in terms of best pricing, delivery schedules, and quality.
\nPrepare and implement effective contract negotiation tactics. With suppliers
\nManage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery, and compliance to terms of contracts.
\nEnsuring procurement adheres to regulations and company policies.
\nCoordinating with internal teams and those at the regional Office regarding supply needs.
\nPrepare and manage purchase orders and send copies to suppliers and originating departments in accordance with the company\u2019s policies needs and budget.
\nPrepare purchase orders and send copies to suppliers and to departments originating requests.
\nMonitoring and tracking orders to ensure timely delivery.
\nManaging relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery, and compliance to terms of contracts.
\nReviewing and managing the company\u2019s procurement strategy and proposing changes.
\nEnsuring all procurement activities adhere to applicable laws and regulations.
\nMaintaining and updating supplier information such , delivery times, product ranges, etc.
\nAssessing, managing, and mitigating risks in procurement process
\nDetermine if inventory quantities are sufficient for needs, ordering more materials when necessary.
\nCollaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company.
\nMonitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.
\nPrepare comparative analyses reports for approval by business and Governance and compliance managers.
\nReview the DPO from General Ledger and respond to queries on Open or paid orders monthly.
\nEnsure approval of invoices by originating departments to confirm receipt of goods and match them to PO\u2019s in the IPROC system to close out all completed orders.<\/p>\n
Qualifications
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
Grade 12 School Certificate
\nBachelor\u2019s Degree: Purchasing & Supply \/ Procurement \/ Supply Chain Management \/ CIPS or any other related courses
\n2 \/ 3 years\u2019 experience in the relevant field
\nPaid up Member: Zambia Institute of Purchasing & Supply (ZIPS)
\nStrong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, and invoice reconciliation.
\nProficiency in supply chain management tools.<\/p>\n
