The organization focuses on critical youth-related issues, with a strong emphasis on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), Gender, and Protection. As a youth-led entity, HTL values innovation, accountability, transparency, and results-driven programming.<br \/>\nAbout the Project<br \/>\nThe Space to Lead (S2L) project, supported by SIDA and Plan International, focuses on CSO Strengthening, influencing Gender, Protection, and SRHR. The project aims to create safe spaces for young-people engagement, policy influence, and the promotion of rights within the community.<br \/>\nRole Overview<br \/>\nHTL is seeking a dynamic, self-driven, and highly organized Programmes Officer to lead the S2L project. As this is a youth-led initiative, the ideal candidate must be energetic and passionate about development work. You will be responsible for the end-to-end implementation of the project.<br \/>\nThis is an all-encompassing role where you will act as the focal point for all project activities, serving as the bridge between HTL, the host organization (Plan International), the donor, and the community.<\/p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities<br \/>\n1. Project Management &amp; Implementation<\/p>\n<p>Lead the overall planning, coordination, and execution of the Space to Lead (S2L) project in accordance with SIDA and HTL guidelines.<\/p>\n<p>Develop comprehensive work plans, activity schedules, and procurement plans.<\/p>\n<p>Ensure all project activities are implemented on time, within scope, and within budget.<\/p>\n<p>Organize and facilitate workshops, trainings, and community dialogue sessions regarding Gender, Protection, and SRHR.<\/p>\n<p>Ensure timely submission and retirement of financial reports to the Finance Department.<\/p>\n<p>In collaboration with the Finance Officer, support the development and review of budgets.<\/p>\n<p>2. Stakeholder Engagement &amp; Advocacy<\/p>\n<p>Act as the primary liaison between Here to Love and Plan International (Kabwe Office), ensuring strict adherence to the host organization\u2019s protocols.<\/p>\n<p>Represent HTL at district and provincial stakeholder meetings, technical working groups, and partner forums.<\/p>\n<p>Lead advocacy efforts to influence local policy regarding youth protection and SRHR.<\/p>\n<p>3. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting<\/p>\n<p>Track project performance against indicators and results frameworks.<\/p>\n<p>Compile high-quality monthly, quarterly, and annual narrative reports for the Executive Director and donors.<\/p>\n<p>Document success stories, lessons learned, and best practices to showcase project impact.<\/p>\n<p>Maintain an organized database of project beneficiaries and activities.<\/p>\n<p>4. Field Operations<\/p>\n<p>Conduct frequent field visits (approximately 70% of the time) to monitor implementation and engage with beneficiaries.<\/p>\n<p>Mobilize youth and community members for project interventions.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications and Experience<br \/>\nEducation:Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Health, Gender Studies, Project Management, or a related field.<br \/>\nExperience:<\/p>\n<p>Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Project Management, preferably within the NGO\/CSO environment.<\/p>\n<p>Proven experience in SRHR, Gender, or Protection programming with donor-funded projects is a strong added advantage.<\/p>\n<p>Additional Consideration:<\/p>\n<p>Alignment with HTL\u2019s youth-led organizational values will be an added advantage.<\/p>\n<p>Core Skills &amp; Competencies<\/p>\n<p>Self-Starter: Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision (managing \u201cliterally everything\u201d regarding the project).<\/p>\n<p>Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and local languages relevant to Central Province.<\/p>\n<p>Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Gender mainstreaming, SRHR, and Child\/Youth Protection policies.<\/p>\n<p>Flexibility: Willingness to travel extensively (70%) and adapt to changing working environments.<\/p>\n<p>IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and virtual communication tools.<\/p>\n<p>Sharing is Caring!
