Debt Recovery Officer (1 Position)<\/p>\n
The company is searching for a tactical debt collector to oversee the prompt receipt of clients\u2019 overdue payments. The debt collector\u2019s responsibilities include spotlighting and contacting prominent defaulters, conceiving payment plans, restructure or reschedule such loans and negotiating updated payment options. You should also inspect clients\u2019 adherence to these updated obligations.
\nTo ensure success as a debt collector, you should possess polished tracking and strategizing techniques.
\nDebt Recovery Officer\u2019s Duties and Responsibilities:

\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Calling and emailing defaulters to restate their dues.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Use skip-tracing techniques to locate difficult debtors..
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Proposing realistic, carefully-constructed payment plans.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Negotiating newly-adjusted payment plans.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Prepare debt collection reports.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Monitoring defaulters\u2019 repayments to stop recurrent non-compliance.

\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Resolve conflicts to achieve solutions.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Share insights to improve debt recovery strategies.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Attend courts on behalf of BML as part of recovery process.
\nEducation and Experience
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Full grade 12 certificate or higher preferred.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Proven experience in debt collection (minimum 3 years) , preferably in finance.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Receipt of a formally-recognized finance qualification is ideal.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Familiar with debt-related legal provisions.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Excellent verbal communication and negotiation skills.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Knowledge of debt collection laws.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Fine-tuned telephone etiquette.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Discerning, attentive, and thorough.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Excellent organizational and time management skills.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Certification in debt collection practices is advantageous.
