S\/he responds to emergency situations during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate electrical\/refrigeration concerns.<br \/>\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Perform skilled electrical\/refrigeration work with the ability to install, troubleshoot and repair systems and components<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Good knowledge of refrigeration<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Good knowledge of central plant chilling system and cold storage<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Good knowledge of repair of split and window air con<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Diagnoses causes of problems and\/or failures in heating\/air conditioning systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and\/or Systems repair and\/or replacement needs.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Troubleshoot and repair electronic monitoring and control systems.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Assist with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on HVAC system, electrically powered equipment and appliances.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Maintain inventory and recommend electrical supplies and equipment for purchase<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Installs heating and air conditioning equipment and systems for the purpose of providing enhanced and\/or upgraded capabilities.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Repairs heating and air conditioning systems and\/or components (e.g. pumps, motors, air handlers, fan coils, piping, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring a comfortable work environment.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Responds to emergency situations during or after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Perform assigned responsibilities, duties, and tasks according to established practices, procedures, techniques, and standards in a safe manner<br \/>\nJOB SPECIFICATION<br \/>\nJob Title:\u00a0HVAC technician\/ electrician<br \/>\nRequired Qualifications<br \/>\n\u00d8\u00a0Full grade 12 certificate<br \/>\n\u00d8\u00a0Diploma in refrigeration and air-conditioning, electrical engineering or the equivalent, a higher qualification will be an added advantage.<br \/>\n\u00d8\u00a0Must be computer literate<br \/>\n\u00d8\u00a0Minimum of 3 years\u2019 working experience as an electrician and refrigeration.<br \/>\nRequired attributes<br \/>\n\u00d8\u00a0Good knowledge of resolving electrical situations and problems<br \/>\n\u00d8\u00a0Must be able to design and write electrical circuits on paper<br \/>\n\u00d8\u00a0Good knowledge of HVAC systems<br \/>\n\u00d8\u00a0Good communication and interpersonal skills and a team player.<br \/>\n\u00d8\u00a0Must be able to work with minimum supervision and long hours.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
