Junior Key Account Manager, Surface Mines \u2013 Sandvik Mining & Construction Zambia

\n\u00a0
\n1. Role Purpose
\nThe Junior Key Account Manager (JKAM) supports the management, development, and growth of strategically important customer accounts within the Zambian mining sector. This role contributes to Sandvik\u2019s long\u2011term customer relationships by coordinating account activities, supporting customer service interactions, and assisting with execution of account business plans.
\n2. Key Responsibilities
\nA. Account Management & Customer Relationships
\n\u2013 Support senior KAM and Project Manager in managing high\u2011value or strategically important mining customers.
\n\u2013 Directly responsible for one Key Surface Account of Sandvik in Zambia.
\n\u2013 Maintain frequent communication with customer stakeholders to ensure alignment.
\n\u2013 Assist in creating and updating Account Business Plans.
\n\u00a0
\nB. Business Growth & Opportunity Development
\n\u2013 Help identify new revenue opportunities.
\n\u2013 Participate in strategy sessions and contribute insights.
\n\u00a0
\nC. Customer Service & Operational Coordination
\n\u2013 Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely product and service delivery.
\n\u2013 Communicate new products, upgrades, and service enhancements to customers.
\n\u2013 Escalate issues promptly.
\n\u00a0
\nD. Reporting & Documentation
\n\u2013 Prepare reports on account performance, KPIs, and sales pipelines.
\n\u2013 Maintain accurate CRM data.
\n\u00a0
\nE. Travel
\n\u2013 Travel to customer mine sites as required.
\n\u00a0
\n3. Qualifications
\nRequired:
\n\u2013 Degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field.
\n\u2013 Minimum 1 year experience in account management, sales, or customer service.
\n\u2013 Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
\n\u2013 Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
\n\u00a0
\nPreferred:
\n\u2013 Experience in mining or industrial sales.
\n\u2013 Familiarity with CRM tools.
\n\u2013 Knowledge of Sandvik products.
\n\u00a0
\n4. Competencies & Attributes
