\nPosition:\u00a0Senior Marketing Officer
\nGrade:\u00a0SM3
\nReports to:\u00a0General Manager
\nLocation:\u00a0Lusaka
\nJob Purpose
\nTo develop and execute SMC\u2019s sales and marketing strategies to grow volumes, market share, revenues, and brand recognition of mealie meal products in a highly competitive, low-margin environment.
\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Drive sales growth across wholesale, retail, and institutional channels.
\nDevelop and implement annual and quarterly sales and marketing plans.
\nManage pricing, discounts, and trade terms in line with company policies.
\nConduct market intelligence on competitor pricing, promotions, and distribution.
\nStrengthen distributor, retailer, and key account relationships.
\nExecute marketing campaigns, trade activations, and point-of-sale branding.
\nManage marketing budgets and track return on investment.
\nPrepare sales forecasts, reports, and performance analyses.
\nEnsure compliance with company policies and ethical selling practices.<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Experience<\/p>\n
Grade Twelve School Certificate
\nBachelor\u2019s Degree in Marketing, Sales, or a Business-related field.
\nMinimum five (5) years\u2019 experience in FMCG sales or trade marketing.
\nStrong knowledge of Zambia\u2019s mealie meal market and distribution channels.
\nProven record of driving sales growth and market expansion.
\nMust be professionally registered with the Zambia Institute of Marketing (ZIM) at Associate Level or higher.<\/p>\n

\nExcellent communication and negotiation abilities.

\nWillingness to travel extensively across Zambia.<\/p>\n
