Critical for ensuring accurate pay, transparent reward processes, audit readiness, and consistent employee experience aligned with approved policies and statutory requirements.<br \/>\nReports to:\u00a0Human Resource Manager<br \/>\nBranch:\u00a0Lusaka Reman<br \/>\nContract Duration:\u00a0Two (2) Years, Renewable.<br \/>\nKey Duties and Responsibilities:<br \/>\nThe Human Resource Officer \u2013 Compensation and Benefits will be required to perform the following tasks:<br \/>\n1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Payroll Operations<\/p>\n<p>Prepare, validate, and process payroll (allowances, overtime, deductions, adjustments).<br \/>\nReconcile payroll results against GL, HRIS, and employee master data.<br \/>\nExecute statutory remittance (PAYE, NAPSA, NHIMA,SDL, Personal Levy, etc.) on time.<br \/>\nEnsure all Payroll related recoveries (HELSB, Loans, Subscription, etc.) are remitted to Institutions.<br \/>\nMaintain payroll control logs, exception reports, and sign-off trails.<br \/>\nCoordinate with Finance for journal posting, accruals, and payroll funding readiness.<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Benefits Administration<\/p>\n<p>Manage employee enrollment, changes, exits, and compliance documentation.<br \/>\nLiaise with insurers, pension administrators, and brokers on claims and membership updates.<br \/>\nConduct periodic benefits integrity checks (duplicate entries, inactive members, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Reward Analytics &amp; Communications<\/p>\n<p>Produce monthly reward dashboards (cost, allowances, overtime, benefits uptake, mobility).<br \/>\nProvide insights for budgeting, resource planning, and pay positioning.<br \/>\nDeliver onboarding briefings for new hires on pay, benefits, and statutory deductions.<br \/>\nSupport annual salary review by providing bands, midpoints, and cost simulations.<\/p>\n<p>4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Offers, Movements &amp; Internal Equity<\/p>\n<p>Advise line managers on offers, promotions, transfers, and range alignment.<br \/>\nValidate internal equity and highlight potential risks or inconsistencies.<br \/>\nEnsure DoA compliance for all salary-related transactions.<\/p>\n<p>5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Controls, Audit &amp; Data Privacy<\/p>\n<p>Maintain maker\u2013checker segregation.<br \/>\nEnforce data privacy and HRIS access controls<br \/>\nConduct periodic self-checks on payroll inputs and benefits data integrity.<br \/>\nSupport internal\/external audits and ensure immediate closure of findings.<\/p>\n<p>6.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Stakeholder Support<\/p>\n<p>Resolve reward queries and support HRBPs\/Finance, and Branch\/Site teams.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications and Experience<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Full Grade 12 certificate \u2013 Required.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a03\u20135 years\u2019 experience in Compensation &amp; Benefits or payroll operations.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Strong working knowledge 0f PAYE, NAPSA, NHIMA, and statutory compliance.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Experience in a multinational or industrial\/heavy equipment sector is a plus.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Payroll\/HRIS System Certification (SAGE 300 People) preferred.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Full member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0ZICA (advantageous)<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0ZAQA Validated Qualifications<br \/>\n\u00a0Skills &amp; Competencies<\/p>\n<p>Payroll inputs &amp; reconciliations<br \/>\nBenefits administration<br \/>\nReward analytics &amp; costing<br \/>\nVendor coordination<br \/>\nExcel and dashboards<br \/>\nConfidentiality and Accuracy<br \/>\nStrong service mindset<br \/>\nGovernance and Audit<\/p>\n<p>Sharing is Caring!
