Job Purpose
\nThe Assistant Tax Accountant will work with Senior\u00a0Tax Accountant in\u00a0preparing efficient, accurate and timely tax returns and financial statements for the group. Investigating accounting irregularities, mistakes or potential fraud. Producing regular financial reports, such as budgets or cash flow forecasts. Oversee Tax planning and projections for the group and ensuring compliance with legal accounting standards.

\nSummary of Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Oversee and perform as necessary tax compliance activities for the group
\nOffering advice and suggestions to management that can improve the accounting processes and financial stability of a company.
\nTake charge of Tax planning and projections
\nConduct Tax research, resolution and correspondence
\nAnalyse ethical problems and communicate them to the upper management.
\nEnsure the client or business understands the implications.
\nIdentify tax risks and implications across different tax types to the organisation.
\nPrepare complex tax computations and tax returns accurately and use the national e-filing systems.
\nEnsure quality standards are maintained
\nProvide support on special tax projects and initiatives
\nCollaborate with staff, clients and management<\/p>\n

Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
Full CA ZICA, ACCA or CIMA
\nBachelor\u2019s degree in accounting or Finance
\nMust have a\u00a0minimum of 5+ years of proven work experience as a Tax Accountant, Tax Analyst\/ Consultant
\nWorking for a Audit and Tax Firm for a period of 3+years will be an added advantage
\nFamiliarity with accounting software packages
\nKnowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
\nExcellent Knowledge of the Zambian tax regulations
\nFlexible in dealing with change with ability to manage multiple priorities and projects, and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
\nMust be a member of ZICA<\/p>\n
