Certification & Compliance Management
\nOversee implementation, maintenance, and renewal of food safety certifications (ISO 22000, HACCP, BRC, FSSC 22000, etc.).
\nEnsure compliance with local and international food safety regulations and customer requirements.
\nServe as the primary contact for certification bodies, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
\nDevelop and maintain certification of documentation, manuals, and records to ensure audit readiness.
\nAudit & Inspection Leadership
\nPlan, coordinate, and lead internal and external audits (certification, regulatory, and customer).
\nConduct gap analyses and implement corrective\/preventive actions (CAPA).
\nEnsure timely closure of non-conformities and maintain evidence of compliance.
\nTrain and mentor staff on audit preparedness and food safety standards.
\nFood Safety System Oversight
\nMonitor and evaluate the effectiveness of HACCP plans, prerequisite programs, and risk-based controls.
\nEnsure traceability systems are robust and functional across all production stages.
\nLead root cause analysis (RCA) for food safety incidents and implement sustainable solutions.
\nCollaborate with QC teams to align daily operations with certification requirements.
\nDocumentation & Reporting
\nDevelop and update SOPs, checklists, and audit-ready documentation systems.
\nMaintain certification dashboards and compliance KPIs for management review.
\nPrepare detailed reports on certification status, audit outcomes, and improvement initiatives.
\nEnsure version control and accessibility of food safety documents across departments.
\nTraining & Culture Development
\nDesign and deliver training programs on food safety standards, certification requirements, and audit practices.
\nPromote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement in food safety.<\/p>\n
Qualifications
\nBachelor\u2019s degree in food science, Microbiology, Quality Management, or related field.
\nFull Grade 12 Certificate
\nMember of relevant professional body
\nMinimum of five (5) years of analytical or development experience.
\nSupervisory experience, preferably in a laboratory environment
\nExperience with Environmental Safety & Health Standards
\nExperience in implementation of ISO standards
\nSufficient hands-on experience in fish husbandry
\nExperience in Quality Assurance
\nEnvironmental Health Management Training Programs
\nTrainings in ISO 9001 and 22001
\nAnti-Bribery and Corruption Training
\nHACCP Training
\nQuality Control and Assurance Training Programs
\nMust have skills<\/p>\n
