The role ensures accurate mapping of infrastructure, facilitates decision-making, and enhances efficiency in service delivery and asset management.<br \/>\nACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:<br \/>\n1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Should have\u00a0full Grade 12\u00a0certificate\u00a0or\u00a0the Equivalent<br \/>\n2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The candidate shall hold minimum qualification of Diploma \/ Bachelor of Engineering \u2013 Geometrics or equivalent<br \/>\nMINIMUM RELEVANT JOB EXPERIENCE<br \/>\n1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a01 year of relevant experience<br \/>\n\u00a0MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<br \/>\n1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Collect, process, and maintain geospatial data related to water and sanitation infrastructure (pipelines, treatment plants, reservoirs, boreholes, etc.).<br \/>\n2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Develop, update, and manage GIS databases, maps, and spatial records for the utility.<br \/>\n3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Conduct field surveys using GPS and other mapping tools to capture asset and network data.<br \/>\n4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Produce maps, drawings, and reports to support engineering projects, planning, and operations.<br \/>\n5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Analyze spatial data to support decision-making in network expansion, maintenance, and customer service.<br \/>\n6.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Integrate GIS data with other utility management systems such as billing, asset management, and hydraulic modeling.<br \/>\n7.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Archives the company\u2019s library of maps and other engineering drawings.<br \/>\n8.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Provides technical data required for Asset Management.<br \/>\n9.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Train and support staff in the use of GIS applications and tools.<br \/>\n10.\u00a0\u00a0Ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance with industry standards.<br \/>\n11.\u00a0\u00a0Assist in monitoring illegal connections, service coverage, and accessibility to water and sanitation services using GIS tools.<br \/>\n12.\u00a0\u00a0Prepare and submit regular reports on GIS activities and outputs.<br \/>\nREQUIRED COMPETENCES\/PERSONAL QUALITIES:<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Reliable<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Honest<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Numerate<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Good communicator<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
