Our client, a reputable Hospitality company in Mazabuka, Zambia, is seeking a qualified
\nAccounts Assistant to manage daily financial transactions, including, but not limited to, accounts payable\/receivable, petty cash management, and bank reconciliations.
\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Record Financial Transactions: Accurately input data into accounting software (QuickBooks\/Sage).
\nBank Reconciliations: Reconcile bank statements and staff advance accounts.
\nAccounts Payable\/Receivable: Process invoices, expense forms, and payments.
\nStatutory Compliance: Assist in filing ZRA and NAPSA returns.
\nPetty Cash Management: Handle daily petty cash transactions and record-keeping.
\nAudit Preparation: Organize financial records for internal\/external audits.<\/p>\n
Requirements:<\/p>\n
Education: Grade 12 Certificate with at least 5 \u201cO\u201d levels including English and Mathematics.
\nProfessional Qualification: Diploma in Accountancy, or part-qualified ZICA (CA Zambia), ACCA, or CIMA (Skills\/Applied level).
\nProfessional Body: Must be a registered member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA).
\nExperience: 1\u20133 years of relevant experience in a similar accounting role and demonstrate proficiency in QuickBooks or MS Excel.
\nAt least 2\u20133 years of proven accounting experience in a reputable firm.
\nStrong proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
\nKnowledge of Zambian tax laws and statutory compliance (ZRA\/NAPSA).
\nHigh level of integrity and confidentiality.<\/p>\n
