\nRole Overview
\nWe are looking for a Technical Product Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in developing and delivering innovative, tech-driven financial products. This position will be perfect for someone with a strong technical background in product development, who has a passion for fintech and wants to directly influence the evolution of financial services in Africa.
\nKey Responsibilities
\n\u2022\u00a0Product Strategy & Vision: Define the product roadmap and strategy in alignment with the company\u2019s vision and business objectives, with a focus on delivering innovative, customer-centric fintech solutions.
\n\u2022\u00a0Technical Leadership: Lead the technical aspects of the product development lifecycle, from ideation to delivery, ensuring that products are built with scalability, performance, and security in mind.<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams to ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of features. Collaborate with design, data science, marketing, and customer support teams to deliver cohesive product experiences.
\n\u2022\u00a0Requirements Gathering & Prioritization: Collect and prioritize technical requirements from stakeholders (internal and external), ensuring that we deliver features that meet both customer needs and technical feasibility.
\n\u2022\u00a0Product Backlog Management: Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring clear specifications and user stories are documented for development teams.
\n\u2022\u00a0Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data, user feedback, and market research to make informed decisions about product features, improvements, and trade-offs.<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0User-Centric Development: Ensure that user experience and product usability are key considerations in every phase of development.
\n\u2022\u00a0Stakeholder Communication: Regularly communicate product status, progress, and challenges to key stakeholders.
\nKey Qualifications
\n\u2022\u00a0Experience: 4+ years of experience in product management, with a strong focus on technical product development.
\n\u2022\u00a0Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of software development processes, APIs, cloud technologies, and product engineering.
\n\u2022\u00a0Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
\n\u2022\u00a0User-Centered Design: Experience working with design and UX teams.
\n\u2022\u00a0Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with agile product development practices (Scrum, Kanban).
\n\u2022\u00a0Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
\n\u2022\u00a0Passion for Fintech: A strong interest in fintech, digital finance, and financial inclusion in Africa.
\n\u2022\u00a0Bachelor\u2019s Degree: Preferred in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
\nNice to Have
\n\u2022\u00a0Experience with financial regulations and compliance (KYC, AML).
\n\u2022\u00a0Knowledge of mobile-first financial services and digital wallets.
\n\u2022\u00a0Startup environment experience.
\n\u2022\u00a0Familiarity with the African financial ecosystem and market challenges.
