Reporting to the IT Lead, you will be responsible for leading the provision of IT networking and communication services and related project management services, to ensure the uptime, performance, and capacity of site networks, platforms, and data centers as well as networking technical leadership of site IT resources.
\nYour Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:<\/p>\n
Technical leadership of the networks & facilities IT function for the site
\nLead the implementation of WAN, LAN, WLAN, and related network infrastructure for the site
\nManaging and developing the site network specialists and IT resources
\nManaging network & communications services according to business \/ service level expectations
\nAccountable for incident resolution and service support
\nResponsible for any user related incident or service request escalation
\nEnsuring expected performance, capacity, and availability of mine site networks & facilities infrastructure
\nSupporting implementation of networking & facilities solutions to support the mine site needs
\nAnticipate network performance requirements by proactively initiating IT evolutions
\nSupport standardization and consolidation of projects to improve infrastructure operations efficiency
\nIdentify, support and drive IT innovations, standards, and best practice IT solutions
\nManage external service provider relationships
\nContinuously assess technologies for cost saving opportunities
\nMaintain security centric mindset for all related technologies.
\nAct as a proactive, reliable, and trusted business partner to mine<\/p>\n
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
\nBachelor\u2019s degree in computer science or engineering equivalent
\nCisco CCNA, CCNP and related certifications
\n5-10 years\u2019 IT experience in mining or similar industry
\nIT Service Management \u2013 ITIL v3\/4 Fundamentals
\nProject management skills \u2013 PMP, Prince2 or similar
\nVendor Management
\nBudget and Financial Acumen
\nExperience with SAP
\nExcellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication.<\/p>\n
