\nThe Company is seeking to identify a suitably qualified and experienced individual to be engaged as\u00a0Team Lead \u2013 Financial Reporting.
\nReporting to: Finance Manager
\nMain Purpose of the Job
\nCareer counseling services
\nTo support the Finance Manager in supervising daily tasks performed by accounts team, general ledger reviews and reconciliations, preparation of audit schedules, and preparation of returns to the regulatory and tax authorities.<\/p>\n
Financial Planning Tool
\nMain Duties will include the following:<\/p>\n
Develop and consolidate cashflow and expenditure forecasts for the Company to be submitted to the Finance Manager.
\nProvide input in developing the annual Financial Operating Plan\/budget (investments).
\nUpdate monthly rolling forecasts and submit to the Finance Manager for approval.
\nSubmit provisional expenditure budget schedules to the Finance Manager for inclusion in the annual expense budget.
\nPrepare the monthly expense analysis against the budget and recommend appropriate action to the Finance Manager.
\nPerform variance analysis and analytical reviews on all account balances and submit a report to the Finance Manager including reasons for variances.
\nSupervise the timely and complete preparation of monthly and annual schedules and reconciliations to be submitted to the Finance Manager for the preparation of statutory financial statements in line with GAAP and regulatory frameworks.
\nPrepare periodic expense analyses and accompanying commentaries on the financial reports to be submitted to the Finance Manager. Prepare BOZ\/CSO\/PIA\/ZRA returns to be submitted to the Finance Manager for approval and timely submission.
\nUpdate schedules to be submitted to the Finance Manager for inclusion in the Group consolidation Pack and abridged financial statements for the Company.
\nPrepare branch income and expense reports, balance sheets and cashflows to be submitted to the Finance Manager.
\nEnsure daily matching, banking and reconciliation of receipts and bi-monthly bank reconciliations.
\nObtain third-party investment reports and assessments in order to give recommendations to the Finance Manager.
\nUpdate the capital, solvency, liquidity and balance sheets for the Company to be submitted to the Regulator through the Finance Manager.
\nEnsure statutory documents and other obligations are submitted and settled timely.
\nReview\/prepare reconciliations and ensure that all reconciling items are followed up and cleared timely.
\nMonitor completeness of Premiums by monthly review of unapproved policies in the system before the close of the reporting period.
\nProvide auditors with information and resolve any queries arising in liaison with the Finance Manager.
\nIdentify disciplinary problems or issues and arrange for the necessary disciplinary action in line with Human Resource Policies and Procedures.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
First degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
\nACCA\/CIMA \/ CA Zambia (Intermediate level).
\n5 years Financial Accounting experience.
\nMinimum of 3 years\u2019 experience at a supervisory level.<\/p>\n
