PURPOSE<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Responsible for providing leadership across the entire software development lifecycle, from design through to testing. Duties include writing and editing software code, developing testing strategies, planning product enhancements, and overseeing project progress through monitoring and reporting.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Designing and maintaining software systems
\nEvaluating and testing new software programs
\nOptimizing software for speed and scalability
\nWriting and testing software code
\nPresenting new features to stakeholders and internal customers
\nEnsuring that different types of software programs communicate with each other on one platform
\nParticipating in creating and enforcing software development standards within an infrastructure
\nMaintaining documentation of software code
\nUpdating to new technologies as needed
\nDeveloping applications for different mobile platforms depending on business requirements and software development standards
\nPerforming software maintenance, tweaking as needed and releasing software updates
\nStaying up-to-date with latest software development practices and platforms
\nCollaborate with IT & Digital Projects, Solutions Architects and Data Architects in executing project strategies and processes.
\nIdentify and troubleshoot software bugs and issues
\nCollaborate with project managers and business analysts to ensure successful requirements management<\/p>\n

QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems
\nMasters will be an added Advantage.
\nAll academic qualifications and results must be verified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).<\/p>\n
EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in software development backend or front end competences
\nExperience working in mining industry will be an advantage
\nProficiency in .NET (C#), Python,T-SQL, MS SQL Server, SQL Lite, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Blazor (Server & WASM), MudBlazor, Bootstrap and Radzen
\nProficiency in Microsoft Active Directory integration, Mobile Development, SQL Database Development, Kereboros, React, Angular, .NET (API, Console Apps, Libraries), .NET BackgroundServices
\nExperience working on Microsoft PowerApp Platform, SharePoint and Azure platforms
\nExperience in version control and collaboration tools; Git, JIRA, DevOps
\nExperience in manual and automated testing
\nKnowledge of CI\/CD pipelines for automating software delivery processes.
\nHighly Knowledgeable in SOLID principles and software design patterns
\nExperience working with microservice architectures
\nMember of ICTAZ or EIZ
\nExperience in Agile delivery, User Experience (UX) design, and Design Thinking Methodologies.
\nRelevant certifications e.g Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP), Certified Software Engineer, C Certified Professional Programmer (CLP), C++ Certified ProfessionalProgrammer (CPP)<\/p>\n
