Purpose
\nTo execute maintenance functions according to standards and instructions to ensure maximum availability, reliability and safety of equipment, tools and employees is achieved. The incumbent will perform Boilermaker activities in a safe and effective manner with the aim of delivering results that meet quality standards and company expectations.
\n\u00a0
\nKey Responsibilities
\n\u00a0
\nThis position will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.<\/p>\n
Structural repairs and alterations.
\nGeneral fabrication
\nFull welding skills
\nUse oxy and Acetylene cutting torches.
\nAble to read and work from schematic drawings.
\nInspections of components to determine reliability.
\nAssist in maintaining the availability of the fleet through effective preventative maintenance procedures.
\nTake reasonable precautions as stipulated to minimize hazards to other personnel and equipment during the course of the work
\nProvide feedback to the management on issues identified, progress of jobs and planned work.
\nPerform any other duties as directed by the supervisor.<\/p>\n

Have a sound knowledge of metal types.
\nHave a sound knowledge of welding processes and electrodes and welding wire.
\nHave a sound knowledge of how to handle equipment and materials.
\nAble to interpret complex fabrication drawings
\nExperience with heavy fabrication
\nFixed and mobile plant experience
\nThe welding of aluminum and cast iron
\nOxy lancing
\nAir arc gouging
\nWelding with gas and gasless welding wires.<\/p>\n

\nQUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n
Grade 12 School Certificate \u2013 ZAQA Certified
\nAdvanced certificate in metal fabrication \u2013 ZAQA Certified.
\nMust be a member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ).
\nCertificate of attendance in incident and accident investigation and reporting.<\/p>\n

\nEXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
Minimum of 3 years\u2019 relevant experience.<\/p>\n
