We look forward to hearing from you.<br \/>\nHatch is on the lookout for a Senior Materials Controller (12-month Fixed Term contract) to be based in Solwezi, Zambia.<br \/>\nThis role assumes the physical and virtual control of materials to ensure construction management activities are fully synchronized and integrated with the engineering and\u00a0procurement schedule.<br \/>\nThe responsibilities include:<br \/>\nReview and manage the material control and warehousing system(s) to be utilized for the\u00a0control of project materials and\/or equipment<br \/>\nCoordinate with the Procurement Materials Coordinator for site arriving material\u00a0identification requirements to the project (stock codes, tag numbers, spool marking, instrument identification, etc.) to ensure compatibility with the engineering bill of<br \/>\nmaterials, procurement purchasing system, materials management system (including AutoID Track and Trace) and construction requirements.<br \/>\nProvide and oversee inventory registers and equipment maintenance logs, includes\u00a0interfacing with the Field Engineering Manager<br \/>\nManage the material storage\/projection plans and storage facility use, including warehouse manpower and equipment needs for daily receiving and issue operations to\u00a0ensure accurate distribution of materials to construction and\/or contractor\/subcontractor installation locations.<br \/>\nImplement project receiving, storage, control, and issue procedure<br \/>\nEnsure receiving and\u00a0issuing procedures include requirements for certification and traceability is met before equipment and materials can be fully accepted or issued for fabrication or construction<br \/>\nFacilitate over, short and damages (OS&amp;D) resolution<br \/>\nImplement plan for verifying inventories to ensure adequate controls are in place and that\u00a0stock levels of material are available to support the project requirements<br \/>\nAssist in identification as early in the project as possible any surplus or obsolete material\u00a0and coordinate to minimize final surplus and monitor their disposition in accordance with project procedures<br \/>\nSupport the planned Construction Work Packaging (CWP) path to construction on the\u00a0project through reserving material in alignment with schedule requirements<br \/>\nCoordinate with warehouse personnel for materials to be issued direct to the installation\u00a0area, as opposed to being controlled in storage<br \/>\nManage the material issued directly to construction contractors as well as material which\u00a0are controlled inventory requiring an approved withdrawal, transaction within the<br \/>\nmaterials management system<br \/>\nRemain knowledgeable of safety policies and procedures and performs assigned duties\u00a0in a safe manner and, while supervising others, has responsibility for their safety and ensures that they comply with established safety policies and procedures and practice safe work habits.<br \/>\nReport on the overall material status for the site<br \/>\nCoordinate material availability in support of design revisions, rework, contingency, or\u00a0work around plans, based on the materials currently on site, and engaging the materials coordinator for materials required at site<br \/>\nCoordinate with Site Logistics Coordinator for heavy lifts, oversized shipments, or\u00a0material and\/or equipment requiring special handling upon arrival to the project<br \/>\nCoordinate with construction contractors\u2019 methods for withdrawing material and\/or\u00a0equipment for installation and implement agreed methods<br \/>\nParticipate in construction and\/or contractor\/subcontractor planning meetings to be fully\u00a0aware of changes in installation plans and priorities.<br \/>\nQualifications and Experience:<br \/>\nEssential<br \/>\nSite knowledge and skills in an EPCM project environment on major capital projects or\u00a0working in large construction sites<br \/>\nTechnical knowledge\/understanding of materials management process<br \/>\nManagement and interpersonal skills<br \/>\nGood understanding of material management systems.<br \/>\nExcellent understanding of procurement and construction processes.<br \/>\nE- materials management systems.<br \/>\nPreferred:<br \/>\nRelevant tertiary qualification will be highly advantageous.<br \/>\nWhy join us?<br \/>\nWork with\u00a0great people\u00a0to make a difference<br \/>\nCollaborate on exciting\u00a0projects\u00a0to develop innovative solutions<br \/>\nTop employer<br \/>\nWhat we offer you?<br \/>\nFlexible work environment<br \/>\nLong term career development<br \/>\nThink globally, work locally<br \/>\nDon\u2019t meet every single requirement?
