\nLumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit a highly motivated and committed employee for the position of Rotable Techninican \u2013 Fabrication to join the versatile Maintenance team.\u00a0We are in search of an individual who can champion Barrick\u2019s DNA by:<\/p>\n

Reporting to the Coordinator \u2013 Rotables, you will support the Rotables function by carrying out fabrication and structural assessments, daily component coordination, documentation, and operational readiness tasks. The Fabrication Rotable Technician ensures that all fabricated rotables are properly collected, serialized, tagged, cleaned, stored, and prepared for dispatch or return, while maintaining strong collaboration with Planners and the QA\/QC team.

\nYour duties will include but are not limited to:<\/p>\n
Inspect, track, and control fabricated rotables throughout the full repair lifecycle, from failure identification to return-to-service readiness.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Perform and support visual and dimensional inspections on fabricated and structural components, ensuring compliance with approved scopes, drawings, and site standards.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Review fabrication documentation including repair reports, weld records, line boring reports, dimensional checks, and NDT records where applicable.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Identify, document, and escalate non-conformances or quality concerns to the Rotable Coordinator for action.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Identify, tag, serialize, clean, and prepare fabricated rotables for dispatch and receipt, ensuring full traceability.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Work closely with Planners to ensure accurate fabrication scopes, drawings, and component documentation are prepared prior to dispatch.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Track rotable status (failed, dispatched, under repair, returned to stock) and maintain accurate system and register updates.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Liaise with vendors on fabrication-related technical clarifications and escalate quality or scope concerns to the Rotable Coordinator.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Conduct routine rotable yard and stock audits to verify storage standards, component condition, and identification.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Capture fabrication failure information and repair findings to support reliability analysis, RCA, and continuous improvement initiatives.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety, and environmental compliance, in line with Barrick\u2019s Zero Harm principles<\/p>\n

\nTo be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
Full Grade 12 certificate
\nMinimum of a Craft Certificate in\u00a0Fabrication , Boiler making, or equivalent trade qualification.
\nMinimum of 3 years\u2019 experience in fabrication, structural repairs, component rebuilds, or reliability support within mining or heavy industry.
\nWorking knowledge of rotable management, QA\/QC inspection processes, and documentation control.
\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and reporting.
\nDemonstrated commitment to safety, reliability, and continuous improvement
\nMust be a registered member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ)<\/p>\n
