We\u2019re seeking a passionate Workshop Manager to oversee our state-of-the-art facility and elevate our team to new heights
\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Provide a maintenance service to the organization\u2019s fleet.
\nCo-ordination, staffing, equipping and efficient functioning of the distribution fleet in his region and workshops.
\nAdvise and provide customer divisions with their fleet requirements to ensure a cost-effective distribution system.
\nFormulate, prepare and submit for approval to National Operations Executive financial budgets for regional workshops. This involves preparing an annual plan for the workshops with appropriate objectives, Strategies and tactics based on strategic plans set by the National Operations Executive and Management Committee.
\nUpdating set plans in light of changing circumstances.
\nIdentifying and recommending the fleet requirements of user customers.
\nIdentifying capital expenditure required for the Zambia and input to the National Operations Executive
\nEnsure maximum staff and equipment utilization.
\nEnsuring that the workshops are manned with the right staff and skills to facilitate speedy reaction to fleet distress and maintenance.
\nEnsure that all workshops are properly utilized, controlled, equipped and maintained.
\nTo ensure strict adherence to established systems of internal control and documentation.
\nTo develop and improve on current systems, controls and documentation.
\nEnsuring adherence to MDW, SHE, Technical, Internal Audit, NOSA and EMS ISO 14001 requirements.
\nConducts regular performance reviews with subordinates to evaluate performance, identify growth opportunities and map out personal development plans to drive performance. In addition, conduct quarterly performance appraisals in line with company requirements.
\nComplies with systems requirements (KO, ISO 14001. ISO 45001, MWD, Technical) and internal SHE management systems.
\nImplements safety, health and environment policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
\nEnsure workshop employees receive safety trainings which include but are not limited to traffic route safety, near-miss reporting, emergency preparedness and proper PPE usage.
\nMaintenance of vehicles and forklifts and ensure vehicles meet internal and KO fleet management and other relevant requirements
\nIncident management and investigations to determine root causes and implements corrective actions.
\nProvides access to employee assistance programs to support employee mental health and well-being.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive engineering or equivalent.
\nA Degree in Business Administration\/MBA will be added advantage
\nNot less than five years post qualifying working experience at managerial level.
\nA sound working knowledge of some aspects of financial management in order to be able to formulate annual budgets and interpret workshop financial statements.
\nA high level of leadership skills is required and the ability to provide growth and motivation to staff.
\nGood technical, interpersonal and communication skills.
\nBe self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
\nBe in possession of a clean class 4 driver\u2019s license.
\nMust be computer literate.<\/p>\n
