\nWorks with:\u00a0MOE, PEO, DEBS,\u00a0MOH\/PHO, ZAPD, school administrators, health workers, peer educators.
\nTravel:\u00a0Frequent district and school travel across Kabwe,\u00a0Kapiri\u00a0Mposhi,\u00a0Chibombo, Chitambo, and Luano.
\nRole Purpose
\nThe NEWZA project assistant will provide hands-on support, execution, and end-to-end coordination, Technical Assistance\/Technical Support Supervision on project activities, including planning, logistics, training support, community, and partner engagements. The Project Assistant will also provide timely documentation to ensure smooth implementation of the Menstrual Health and Hygiene Management (MHHM) component of the NEWZA project across five districts of Central Province.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Support the implementation of project activities in line with approved work plans<\/p>\n
Promote field level coordination mechanism.<\/p>\n
\u00a0Assist\u00a0with organizing trainings, meetings, workshops, and community outreach activities<\/p>\n
Participate in field visits and support activity monitoring and documentation<\/p>\n
Collect, compile, and organize project data and attendance records<\/p>\n
Support the preparation of activity reports and other program documentation<\/p>\n
Support the distribution\u00a0of MHHM\u00a0supplies\/toolkits\/packages to districts and schools<\/p>\n
Coordinate with ZAPD and DEBS to ensure inclusive materials reach targeted\u00a0districts and\u00a0schools<\/p>\n
Community engagement;\u00a0Backstop community\u00a0dialogues\u00a0and commemorations<\/p>\n
Mobilise\u00a0schools, health\u00a0workers,\u00a0and peer educators; prepare agendas and talking points; arrange branded items and refreshments; capture participant numbers and testimonials for MHM Day, World Water Day, Global Handwashing\u00a0and\u00a0Toilet Day,s and community dialogues.<\/p>\n
Collaborate with teachers and support the formation of\u00a0MHHM Clubs\u00a0in schools with\u00a0maintained\u00a0club registers\u00a0tracking\u00a0monthly\/quarterly\u00a0activities.<\/p>\n
Assist\u00a0with stakeholder coordination, including community leaders and partners.<\/p>\n
In liaison with respective project\u00a0components,\u00a0focal\u00a0points\u00a0contribute to periodic\u00a0(weekly, monthly) project performance updates.<\/p>\n
Support\u00a0administrative and logistical support to the programs team as\u00a0required<\/p>\n
Take up any other duties as assigned.<\/p>\n
Required qualifications and skills<\/p>\n
Diploma\/Degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Education, or related\u00a0fields.<\/p>\n
Preferably,\u00a01-3 years\u00a0of\u00a0responsible experience working\u00a0in a\u00a0similar\u00a0role,\u00a0but recent\u00a0motivated\u00a0graduates are\u00a0also\u00a0advised to apply.<\/p>\n
Strong report writing skills\u00a0and\u00a0Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and email)<\/p>\n
Experience supporting community,\u00a0school,\u00a0or health facility\u00a0engagements\u00a0is\u00a0an added advantage.<\/p>\n
Ability to travel\u00a0frequently\u00a0to districts and schools.<\/p>\n
