Role Summary
\nZIEA is seeking a creative and organised Digital Marketing Officer to strengthen the Institute\u2019s online presence and support communications around Institute activities. The role focuses on creating engaging digital content, promoting events and initiatives, and supporting planning and execution of ZIEA programmes. The successful candidate will be based at the ZIEA Woodlands Office and will work closely with the Secretariat and relevant committees.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities
\nContent Creation and Design<\/p>\n
Create engaging digital content such as social media posts, flyers, posters, banners, and announcements for ZIEA activities.<\/p>\n
Produce consistent, on-brand visual designs for campaigns, member communications, and public awareness messaging.<\/p>\n
Capture and package event content (photos, short videos, highlights) for timely posting.<\/p>\n
Social Media and Digital Communications<\/p>\n
Manage and grow ZIEA\u2019s social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).<\/p>\n
Develop and maintain a content calendar aligned with the Institute\u2019s priorities, events, and campaigns.<\/p>\n
Write clear, professional captions and short-form copy with strong attention to grammar and tone.<\/p>\n
Monitor comments and messages and escalate queries to the relevant team members when needed.<\/p>\n
Track performance and provide simple monthly reporting and recommendations.<\/p>\n
Events and Institute Activities Support<\/p>\n
Participate in Institute events, workshops, meetings, and external engagements to support communications and coverage.<\/p>\n
Assist with planning and marketing of events, including pre-event promotion and post-event recap content.<\/p>\n
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather information and approvals for announcements and campaigns.<\/p>\n
Administrative and Collaboration Support<\/p>\n
Work closely with the Secretariat and committees to understand priorities and translate them into communication deliverables.<\/p>\n
Maintain an organised library of design files, photos, and templates for future use.<\/p>\n
Support other communications tasks as assigned.<\/p>\n
Required Skills and Qualifications<\/p>\n
Excellent written and spoken English.<\/p>\n
Strong design skills and a good eye for layout, typography, and visual consistency.<\/p>\n
Proficiency with design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar.<\/p>\n
Ability to create content quickly without compromising quality.<\/p>\n
Strong organisational skills, ability to manage deadlines, and attention to detail.<\/p>\n
2 years of relevant work experience or a degree in a relevant field (Marketing, PR etc.).<\/p>\n
Member of the Zambia Institute of Marketing<\/p>\n
Preferred \/ Added Advantages<\/p>\n
Experience in Social Media Marketing and growing online audiences.<\/p>\n
Basic photography and video editing skills (short reels, event clips).<\/p>\n
Experience covering events and creating \u201clive\u201d or same-day content.<\/p>\n
Familiarity with the real estate sector or professional membership organisations.<\/p>\n
