\nAbout the role:
\nPilatus Engineering is seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Automotive Workshop Manager to lead and oversee our workshop operations. The ideal candidate must possess strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to actively participate in diagnostics and complex repairs while managing daily workshop activities.
\nTo manage the overall workshop operations efficiently, ensuring high-quality repairs, productivity, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction, while maintaining active technical involvement on the workshop floor.
\nKey Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Plan, organize, and control daily workshop workflow
\nAllocate jobs to technicians based on skill level and workload
\nMonitor repair progress and ensure timely completion
\nImprove workshop efficiency and reduce turnaround time<\/p>\n
Technical Leadership (Hands-On Role):<\/p>\n
Perform advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting when required
\nSupport technicians in resolving complex mechanical and electrical issues
\nApprove final inspections before vehicle delivery
\nEnsure adherence to manufacturer repair standards<\/p>\n
Team Supervision:<\/p>\n
Lead, motivate, and supervise workshop staff
\nConduct performance evaluations and provide training
\nMaintain discipline and teamwork within the workshop<\/p>\n
Quality & Safety Control:<\/p>\n
Ensure high repair quality and minimize repeat jobs
\nEnforce workplace safety standards and proper tool usage
\nMaintain workshop cleanliness and organization<\/p>\n
Inventory & Cost Management:<\/p>\n
Monitor tools, equipment, and workshop assets
\nCoordinate with parts department for timely availability of parts
\nControl operational costs and reduce wastage<\/p>\n
Customer & Reporting:<\/p>\n
Handle technical customer complaints professionally
\nProvide clear explanations of repairs when necessary
\nPrepare daily\/weekly performance and productivity reports<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
Diploma or certification in Automotive Engineering preferred
\nMinimum 5\u201310 years of automotive workshop experience
\nProven experience as Workshop Manager, Foreman, or Senior Technician
\nStrong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills (mechanical & electrical)
\nExperience with modern diagnostic equipment
\nStrong leadership and decision-making skills
\nAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines<\/p>\n
Compensation:
\nThe incumbent will receive a competitive salary commensurate with experience.
