As the appointed Caterpillar dealer in the region, Barloworld Equipment supplies equipment, parts and service to customers in the mining, construction, handling, agricultural and energy industries.<br \/>\nBarloworld Equipment Zambia Limited is looking for a suitably qualified individuals to fill the positions below:<br \/>\nHEAVY EQUIPMENT REPAIR \/ AUTO ELECTRICIAN<br \/>\nApplicants suitably qualified based on the requirements stated below are invited to apply for the positions.<br \/>\nJob Purpose<br \/>\nPerform planned and breakdown repairs, services, and maintenance on earthmoving equipment and components, to supplier standards and customer requirements.<br \/>\nKey Outputs include but are not limited to:<br \/>\n\u2022 Quickly and efficiently diagnose machine systems and carry out repairs, services, and maintenance on earthmoving equipment on customer sites or at the BWE site.<br \/>\n\u2022 Compile accurate customer machine analysis and reports, including Machine Inspection Reports (MIRs) and Technical Analysis Reports (TAs).<br \/>\n\u2022 Maintain a professional image when representing BWE.<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure safe work practices.<br \/>\n\u2022 Control contamination.<br \/>\n\u2022 Handle own administration (e.g., labor booking, service reports, part returns, expenses).<br \/>\n\u2022 Consistently ensure that quality and productivity standards of own work are accurately maintained.<br \/>\nCandidate Requirements<br \/>\n\u2022 Full Grade 12 certificate.<br \/>\n\u2022 Qualified in a relevant trade with an Advanced Technician Certificate\/Diploma (e.g., Heavy Equipment Repair, Auto Electrician, or Diesel Mechanic).<br \/>\n\u2022 At least 5 years of relevant work experience in mining, construction, or energy industries.<br \/>\n\u2022 A Millwright\/Dual qualification will be an added advantage.<br \/>\n\u2022 Registered member of EIZ (Technician).<br \/>\n\u2022 Machine-specific technical knowledge and skills.<br \/>\n\u2022 Valid driver\u2019s license.<br \/>\n\u2022 Valid Silicosis certificate.<br \/>\nCompetencies<br \/>\n\u2022 Strong interpersonal and communication skills.<br \/>\n\u2022 Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.<br \/>\n\u2022 Machine-specific technical knowledge and skills.<br \/>\n\u2022 Good technical report writing.<br \/>\n\u2022 Basic business and financial understanding.<br \/>\n\u2022 Some computer literacy (e.g., SIS, STW, and ET knowledge).<br \/>\n\u2022 Applicable product knowledge in PM, components, and machine systems.<br \/>\n\u2022 Failure analysis skills.<br \/>\n\u2022 Understanding of supplier warranty systems, policies, and procedures.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
