Sales Assistant
\nJob Purpose
\nTo drive sales and deliver excellent customer service by assisting customers in selecting products that meet their needs, ensuring a positive shopping experience, and contributing to the overall performance of the store.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nSales & Customer Service<\/p>\n
Greet customers warmly and assist them in identifying suitable furniture and non-furniture products.<\/p>\n
Provide detailed product information including materials, dimensions, pricing, warranties, and delivery options.<\/p>\n
Actively promote in-store offers and upsell complementary items.<\/p>\n
Meet and exceed individual and store sales targets.<\/p>\n
Follow up with customers on quotations and pending orders.<\/p>\n
Product Knowledge<\/p>\n
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all furniture products (sofas, beds, dining sets, office furniture, etc.).<\/p>\n
Advise customers on furniture care and maintenance.<\/p>\n
Understand competitor pricing and market trends.<\/p>\n
Store Presentation<\/p>\n
Ensure shop displays are clean, organized, and attractive.<\/p>\n
Assist in arranging furniture displays to enhance visual appeal.<\/p>\n
Ensure price tags and promotional materials are correctly displayed.<\/p>\n
Order Processing & Administration<\/p>\n
Process sales transactions accurately<\/p>\n
Prepare invoices, receipts, and quotations.<\/p>\n
Coordinate with the warehouse and delivery team on customer orders.<\/p>\n
Maintain proper sales records and daily sales reports.<\/p>\n
Stock Support<\/p>\n
Assist in receiving, checking, and arranging stock.<\/p>\n
Report damaged or missing items to management.<\/p>\n
Participate in periodic stock counts.<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Requirements<\/p>\n
Diploma in Sales\/Marketing or related discipline<\/p>\n
Proven experience in retail sales, preferably in furniture shops.<\/p>\n
Strong communication and negotiation skills.<\/p>\n
Ability to work weekends and public holidays.<\/p>\n
Basic computer skills (POS systems, MS Office).<\/p>\n
Presentable and customer-focused.<\/p>\n
