\nJob Summary:
\nThe debt collector is tasked with following up debts of terminated accounts, in addition to the old invoices that remain outstanding
\nEmployment Resources
\nKey Responsibilities:
\n1. Collection of outstanding debts of terminated accounts within a reasonable time frame, before legal action is taken
\n2. Reconcile customer accounts to ensure and physically meet the clients for settlement
\n3. Act as a liaison between customers and the company with regards to negotiation of the debt recovery
\n4. Respond promptly and completely to both client and internal enquiries
\n5. Propose write off of irrecoverable receivables
\n6. Providing ad-hoc reporting as and when requested by management
\nPrincipal Outputs of this Role:
\n\u2022 Rigorous follow up of terminated accounts to reduce bad debts<\/p>\n
\u2022 Dispute resolution resulting in amicable settlement

\nAccountability:
\nThe Debt Collector is accountable to Head, Credit Control for the responsibilities stated in the job description. The responsibilities are monitored and managed through the mid-year and annual performance review and supported through monitoring of KPIs

\n\u2022 Diploma in Credit Management from a recognised institution
\n\u2022 Trained in Credit Management, Customer Service and Communication skills
\n\u2022 Minimum of 3 years\u2019 experience in a similar position within a service industry
