LHPC owns two Hydropower Stations namely, Mulungushi Power Station and Lunsemfwa Power Station with installed capacity of 32 MW and 24 MW respectively. The two Power Stations have both an upstream reservoir and four generating units each. The older units have undergone refurbishment in recent years. LHPC has Power Purchase Agreements with ZESCO and Copperbelt Energy Corporation. LHPC is also a member of the Southern African Power Pool (SAPP).<br \/>\nTherefore, the Company invites applications from highly motivated, result-oriented, suitably qualified and experienced professionals to fill the following vacancy:<br \/>\nCIVIL TECHNOLOGIST (ONE YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT)<br \/>\nJob Purpose<br \/>\nWe are seeking a competent and hands-on Civil Technologist to supervise the construction of staff housing units. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day site activities, coordinate artisans and subcontractors, ensure quality workmanship, and monitor progress against approved drawings and specifications. The role requires strong site management capability and the ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to required standards.<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities<br \/>\n\u2022Supervise and coordinate artisans and subcontractors.<br \/>\n\u2022Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and BOQs.<br \/>\n\u2022Monitor construction progress and prepare regular site progress reports.<br \/>\n\u2022Conduct setting out, levels checking, and quality inspections.<br \/>\n\u2022Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.<br \/>\n\u2022Verify materials delivered on site and ensure proper usage and storage.<br \/>\n\u2022Assist in measurement of works for payment certification.<br \/>\n\u2022Maintain proper site documentation including daily site records.<br \/>\nDesired Experience, Skills and Qualifications<br \/>\n\u2022Diploma in Civil Engineering \/ Civil Engineering Technology.<br \/>\n\u2022Minimum 3 years practical site experience in building construction.<br \/>\n\u2022Proven experience supervising housing or similar building projects.<br \/>\n\u2022Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and BOQs.<br \/>\n\u2022Registered with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).<br \/>\n\u2022Experience supervising artisan teams.<br \/>\nRequired Competencies<br \/>\n\u2022Strong leadership and coordination skills<br \/>\n\u2022Good planning and scheduling ability<br \/>\n\u2022Good communication and reporting skills<br \/>\n\u2022Attention to detail and quality control focus<br \/>\n\u2022Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines<br \/>\nInterested candidates meeting the above qualifications should apply using the following link:<br \/>\nCIVIL TECHNOLOGIST \u2013 Fill out form<br \/>\nApply by 1st March 2026.<br \/>\nKINDLY NOTE THAT ONLY SHORTLISTED CANDIDATES WILL BE ACKNOWLEDGED.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
