\nDIRECTOR CORPORATE SERVICES\/BOARD SECRETARY
\nThe Board of the Local Authorities Superannuation Fund (LASF) invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the position of Director Corporate Services\/Board Secretary.<\/p>\n
Job Purpose
\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the provision of corporate services and board secretariat in order to facilitate smooth operation and enhance organisational performance.

Key Result Areas and Accountabilities<\/p>\n
Coordinates effectively the development, implementation and review of policies related to corporate services functions in order to provide guidance in service provision.<\/p>\n
Coordinates effectively the formulation of Strategic Plan in order to set an operational framework for the Fund.<\/p>\n
Undertakes effectively provision of Board Secretariat services in order to facilitate the smooth conduct of corporate business.<\/p>\n
Coordinates effectively the management of human resource in order to ensure optimal staff performance and achieve business objectives.<\/p>\n
Coordinates the management of ICT Systems and Services in order to facilitate smooth business operations.<\/p>\n
Coordinates effectively public relations functions in order to enhance the positive corporate image, foster goodwill, and confidence from stakeholders.<\/p>\n
Coordinates effectively legal service functions in order to safeguard the interest of the Fund.<\/p>\n
Coordinates effectively the preparation of Institutional annual reports in order to facilitate decision making.<\/p>\n
Coordinates timely provision of administrative and logistical support services in order to facilitate efficient and effective delivery of services.<\/p>\n
Coordinates efficiently implementation of risk management mitigation measures in order to reduce impact and occurrence of risks.<\/p>\n
Oversees timely implementation of performance management systems in order to monitor and evaluate performance and ensure attainment of Fund objectives.<\/p>\n
Oversees effectively management of financial, human and other resources in order to achieve Institutional objectives.<\/p>\n
Tenure<\/p>\n
The successful applicant shall be appointed on a five (5) year renewable performance-based contract.<\/p>\n
Qualification and Experience<\/p>\n
Full Grade 12 Certificate<\/p>\n
Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or any related field<\/p>\n
Masters in Law, Business Administration or any other related field<\/p>\n
Minimum of ten (10) years relevant experience with 5 years at senior management level<\/p>\n
Good knowledge and understanding of the pension industry<\/p>\n
Desirable Competencies<\/p>\n
Ability to drive organisational performance for sustainability and business continuity<\/p>\n
Ability to engage with the Governing Board and other stakeholders to drive the governance agenda<\/p>\n
A compelling vision of identifying opportunities for the Fund to improve strategic performance<\/p>\n
Highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders<\/p>\n
