Job Purpose
\nThe Data Verification and Reporting Officer will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of data collected through our custom applications. The specialist will work closely with field staff, verifying data, ensuring timely submissions, cleaning datasets, and preparing reports. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
\nKey Responsibilities:
\na)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Data Verification and Reporting:<\/p>\n
Review and verify data submitted by Area Coordinators, Community Agents and Rangeland Field Monitors to ensure accuracy and completeness.
\nIdentify and resolve any discrepancies or inconsistencies in the data.
\nPerform data cleaning tasks to prepare datasets for analysis.
\nIdentify and correct errors, outliers, and missing data.
\nGenerate regular reports on data collection progress and findings.
\nPrepare summaries and visualisations of data for internal and external stakeholders.<\/p>\n
b)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Coordination:<\/p>\n
Maintain regular communication with Area Coordinators, Community Agents and Rangeland Field Monitors to ensure data is collected and submitted on schedule. Provide support and guidance to Area Coordinators, Community Agents and Rangeland Field Monitors on data collection procedures and best practices.<\/p>\n
c)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0System Management:<\/p>\n
Assist in the management and maintenance of the custom data collection application.
\nProvide feedback and suggestions for system improvements based on user experience.<\/p>\n

\nd)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Training and Support:<\/p>\n
Conduct training sessions for Area Coordinators, Community Agents and Rangeland Field Monitors on data collection protocols and the use of the custom application.
\nOffer ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to Area Coordinators, Community Agents and Rangeland Field Monitors as needed.<\/p>\n

\ne)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Grazing mapping<\/p>\n
Support the mapping of grazing blocks as required.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
Diploma in Statistics, Information Technology, Computing, Monitoring and Evaluation, or a related field.<\/p>\n
2 years of relevant experience in data management, data verification, reporting, and data cleaning<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel)
\nStrong attention to detail and analytical skills.
\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.
\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
\nWillingness to travel extensively during field season, work unusual schedules (up to 8 consecutive days), car camp, and live in rustic conditions for extended periods in remote areas of Mwandi, Sesheke, Kazungula and Mulobezi\u00a0required.
\nGood physical condition and ability to work long hours in the field\u00a0required.
\nLanguage: Fluent in English and Lozi, depending on location<\/p>\n
