\nAre you a versatile storyteller with a passion for digital innovation and child well-being? World Vision Zambia is offering an exciting internship opportunity to recent graduates within the Communications Unit. The successful candidate will support the execution of a holistic strategy bridging digital creativity, professional event management, and media relations. This role provides high-level exposure to the development sector, allowing you to manage a high-quality external brand image while developing practical skills in multimedia production.
\nPOSITION:\u00a0Communications InternLOCATION:\u00a0Lusaka
\nMajor Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Digital Media:\u00a0Manage and develop content for WVZ\u2019s social platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn).<\/p>\n
Produce compelling transformational stories for the website.<\/p>\n
Content Creation:\u00a0Shoot and edit \u201creels-style\u201d short-form videos and use tools like Adobe Creative Suite to produce content.<\/p>\n
Internal Communications:\u00a0Draft content for the monthly internal newsletter and manage the internal digital library of impact stories and photos.<\/p>\n
External Media Engagement:\u00a0Track daily mentions of World Vision in Zambian news outlets and maintain an up-to-date database of key journalists and influencers.<\/p>\n
Education\/Technical Skills\/Experience, & Required Attributes<\/p>\n
Educational Level:\u00a0Recent graduate with a Diploma or Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Mass Communication, or Journalism.<\/p>\n
Technical Skills:\u00a0Digitally savvy and innovative with good understanding of social media algorithms and content creation tools (Adobe).<\/p>\n
Communication Skills:\u00a0Good writing skills with the ability to switch between formal tones and engaging social media styles.<\/p>\n
Experience:\u00a0Entry-level; must be a team player with a strong willingness to learn.<\/p>\n
No criminal record.<\/p>\n
A mature Christian.<\/p>\n
