\nThe Radiation Protection Authority (RPA) is a Regulatory Body under the Ministry of Technology and Science established by the Ionising Radiation Protection Act No. 16 of 2005 and its Amendment Act No. 19 of 2011. RPA\u2019s mandate is to protect the public, workers and the environment from hazards arising from the use of devices or materials capable of producing Ionising Radiation.
\nThe Authority has vacancies in the following positions:

\nJob Objective
\nTo manage the procurement of goods, services and works in order to ensure value for money and meet end-user requirements.
\nMain Duties<\/p>\n
Manages effectively the development, implementation and review of procurement policies and standard operating procedures in order to ensure procurement processes are compliant with the public procurement regulatory framework.<\/p>\n
Manages and coordinates effectively development of the procurement plan in order to guide the procurement processes of the Authority and ensure compliance with the Law.<\/p>\n
Manages and coordinates timely and accurately the preparation of bidding documents in order to ensure transparency in tendering process and facilitate compliance with laid down procedures.<\/p>\n
Manages and coordinates effectively the procurement process in order ensure procurement of goods, services and works that meet end user requirements.<\/p>\n
Coordinates effectively contract administration and monitoring in order to ensure the delivery of goods, works and services is in line with contractual obligations.<\/p>\n
Manages effectively the preparation and submission of procurement reports and minutes to the Zambia Public Procurement Authority (ZPPA) in order to ensure compliance with the Law.<\/p>\n
Manages effectively the provision of secretariat services to the procurement committee in order to facilitate smooth conduct of meetings.<\/p>\n
Manages effectively maintenance of the procurement database in order to ensure up-to-date information and facilitate decision-making.<\/p>\n
Manages effectively implementation of performance management systems in order to monitor, evaluate and enhance performance.<\/p>\n
Manages effectively human, financial and other resources in order to facilitate achievement of set goals and objectives.<\/p>\n
Minimum Vocational\/Professional Qualifications<\/p>\n
Full Grade 12\/Form (V) School Certificate
\nDegree in Purchasing and Supply\/ full Professional CIPS\/ZIPS or Equivalent.
\nMaster\u2019s Degree in Purchasing and Supply or Equivalent
\nZIPS full membership (MZIPS)<\/p>\n
Minimum Relevant Pre-Job Experience
\nEight (8) years of which four (4) should be at management level
