\nThe Africa Programs Specialist strengthens Kingdom Workers\u2019 impact across the continent by supporting regional team members in program planning, training, and documentation. This role contributes to improved quality, consistency, and learning in KW programs in Africa (currently encompassing work in Malawi, Zambia, Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, and South Sudan).

Duties and Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
collaborate with regional team members to strengthen program plans,\u00a0ensuring consistency and clarity for staff training and program replication<\/p>\n
support the development and review of logic models, annual planning and\u00a0strategy, M&E frameworks, and impact evaluations to enhance program\u00a0effectiveness and accountability<\/p>\n
ensure regional programs processes and workflows are aligned, reliable, and\u00a0replicable, supporting staff effectiveness, volunteer and participant\u00a0experience, and organizational sustainability<\/p>\n
train and develop regional program staff to ensure they are well-equipped to\u00a0fulfill their roles, mobilizing volunteers to serve their community through\u00a0inclusion and WASH education<\/p>\n
serve as a regional point person for the Optimization Team, facilitating\u00a0collaboration to improve program quality and volunteer support through\u00a0research insights<\/p>\n
contribute to the execution of the regional strategic plan by actively\u00a0participating in assigned regional projects<\/p>\n
conduct regular visits to regional programs to strengthen partnerships,\u00a0encourage volunteers, and deepen understanding of ministry and community\u00a0contexts<\/p>\n
support new field development or pilot initiatives as requested by the Vice President of Organizational Development and in collaboration with the Africa Regional Director
\nprovide additional support to the Regional Director as assigned, helping ensure smooth operations and alignment with organizational priorities<\/p>\n
Education, Experience, and Characteristics:<\/p>\n
must demonstrate alignment with Kingdom Workers\u2019\u00a0Statement of Faith
\nprofessional ability in speaking and writing English
\nconversational ability in KW field language (Kiswahili, Nyanja, Chichewa, etc.)\u00a0is a bonus
\nexperience with impact evaluation and research
\nstrong project management and organizational skills, with close attention to\u00a0detail
\nproven ability to think critically, conduct research, and provide sound\u00a0program recommendations
\nexperience with process development and improvement
\nat least 5 years of experience managing or supporting international public\u00a0health programs, preferably in humanitarian or nonprofit settings
\nbachelor\u2019s degree in relevant field (public health, international development,\u00a0etc.) required, master\u2019s degree preferred
\nat least 2 years of cross-cultural work experience
\nability to participate in a work environment that fosters open and honest two-way communication
\nability to work independently, prioritize workload, and deliver quality results\u00a0on time, while working on multiple projects simultaneously
\nmust possess strong communication skills
\nexperience working with a decentralized team is a bonus
\nproficient using and troubleshooting technology and software platforms
\nhave proven ability to work cross-culturally while building relationships and\u00a0working collaboratively with others<\/p>\n
Location and Travel Expectations:<\/p>\n
ideally based in Malawi or Zambia
\nability to travel to African countries such as Malawi, Zambia, Kenya, Uganda,\u00a0Ethiopia, Nigeria, etc.
\nposition\u00a0can be partially remote, as approved by management
\nability to travel\u00a030% of the time
\nability to work during evenings and\/or weekends occasionally
\nability to travel by road, air, or other means as may be encountered in a\u00a0developing country
\nability to happily spend time and work in remote areas
\nvalid passport, or ability to obtain one, required
\nvalid driver\u2019s license required<\/p>\n
Other Conditions:<\/p>\n
frequently required to walk, sit,\u00a0stand, and\/or lift up to 30 pounds
\nfrequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
\ncontinually required to talk and hear
\noccasional exposure to wet and\/or humid conditions,\u00a0including outdoor exposure
