We are looking for a\u00a0Bookkeeper\u00a0who is as comfortable with a balance sheet as they are with office management. This is a high-accountability role that requires a candidate with a strong \u201csanity-check\u201d logic\u2014someone who can spot errors in fuel reports or tax calculations immediately. The ideal candidate will have a mastery of\u00a0Microsoft Excel\u00a0and a proven background in Zambian statutory compliance.
\nZambia Market Analysis
\nKey Responsibilities
\n1. Bookkeeping & Financial Tracking:<\/p>\n
Manage daily bookkeeping entries.
\nMaintain a comprehensive expense tracker, focusing on fuel consumption, truck maintenance, and driver acquittals.
\nPerform monthly bank reconciliations and verify data integrity across all financial records.
\nMonitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring professional communication with vendors and clients.<\/p>\n
2. Statutory Compliance:<\/p>\n
Prepare and file monthly ZRA returns (VAT, PAYE) via Tax Online.
\nCalculate and ensure timely payment of NAPSA, NHIMA, and Workers\u2019 Compensation.<\/p>\n
3. Administrative Support:<\/p>\n
Provide comprehensive secretarial support, including scheduling, correspondence management, and professional filing.
\nMaintain a digital and physical archive of all operational documents (invoices, receipts, and logbooks).
\nCoordinate office logistics to support the management and operations teams.<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Experience Required<\/p>\n
Experience:\u00a0Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Bookkeeping or Accounts Administration.
\nEducation:\u00a0Minimum Grade 12 Certificate with credit or better in Mathematics and English. A Diploma in Accountancy is highly preferred.
\nSoftware Proficiency:\u00a0ADVANCED Excel skills are mandatory.\u00a0You must be proficient in VLOOKUP, SUMIF, IF Functions, and Pivot Tables.
\nAttributes:\u00a0Exceptional attention to detail, high ethical standards, and the ability to work under pressure to meet statutory deadlines (10th and 14th of the month).
\nResidency:\u00a0Strictly Ndola residents only.\u00a0Applicants must be currently residing in Ndola to be considered for this role.<\/p>\n
