Role Purpose<br \/>\nThe Project Manager \u2013 IoT Hardware &amp; Deployment will lead the end-to-end development, production, assembly, and field deployment of PCB-based IoT sensors for Ecovolt\u2019s solar mini-grid and water systems.<br \/>\nThe role bridges\u00a0electronics engineering, supply chain coordination, field deployment, and technical workforce development, ensuring reliable hardware integration into Ecovolt\u2019s smart energy infrastructure<br \/>\n2. Key Responsibilities<br \/>\nA. PCB Design &amp; Product Development<\/p>\n<p>Lead schematic capture and PCB layout design.<br \/>\nOversee circuit simulation, testing, and iteration.<br \/>\nEnsure compliance with IoT sensor specifications (power management, communication modules, durability).<br \/>\nDevelop production-ready design files (Gerber, BOM, assembly drawings).<\/p>\n<p>B. Manufacturing &amp; Supply Chain Coordination<\/p>\n<p>Identify and coordinate PCB fabrication partners (e.g., China-based manufacturers).<br \/>\nManage procurement of electronic components.<br \/>\nOversee quality assurance prior to shipment.<br \/>\nEnsure cost optimization and timely production cycles.<\/p>\n<p>C. Assembly &amp; Quality Control<\/p>\n<p>Supervise local electronics assembly processes.<br \/>\nEstablish testing protocols and QA standards.<br \/>\nTroubleshoot hardware failures and optimize board performance.<\/p>\n<p>D. Deployment &amp; Systems Integration<\/p>\n<p>Oversee installation of IoT boards on mini-grids and solar water systems.<br \/>\nEnsure integration with monitoring platforms and cloud systems.<br \/>\nLead fault diagnosis and field performance validation.<\/p>\n<p>E. Training &amp; Supervision<\/p>\n<p>Design and deliver structured technical training for Electrical Trainees.<br \/>\nSupervise trainee technicians during assembly and deployment.<br \/>\nBuild internal technical capacity for long-term scalability.<\/p>\n<p>F. Project Management &amp; Reporting<\/p>\n<p>Develop detailed project timelines and milestones.<br \/>\nTrack hardware production and deployment KPIs.<br \/>\nReport progress, risks, and mitigation plans to leadership.<\/p>\n<p>3. Required Qualifications<\/p>\n<p>Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Electrical\/Electronic Engineering (Minimum)<br \/>\nExperience in PCB design (Altium, KiCad, Eagle or similar)<br \/>\nStrong background in electronics prototyping and assembly<br \/>\nExperience with IoT systems and embedded hardware<br \/>\nDemonstrated project management experience<br \/>\nMinimum 5 years relevant experience<\/p>\n<p>4. Technical Competencies<\/p>\n<p>Schematic capture &amp; PCB layout<br \/>\nMicrocontrollers (ESP32, STM, Arduino or similar)<br \/>\nPower electronics &amp; solar integration<br \/>\nCircuit debugging &amp; signal testing<br \/>\nSupply chain coordination<br \/>\nBasic cloud\/IoT integration knowledge<\/p>\n<p>5. Preferred Attributes<\/p>\n<p>Experience in renewable energy systems<br \/>\nExperience managing hardware production internationally<br \/>\nTraining and mentorship capability<br \/>\nAbility to work in rural deployment environments<br \/>\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills<\/p>\n<p>6. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)<\/p>\n<p>Successful design &amp; production of IoT PCB batches<br \/>\nDeployment of target sensor units<br \/>\nZero major hardware failure trends<br \/>\nOn-time project delivery<br \/>\nNumber of technicians successfully trained<\/p>\n<p>7.
