Zambia Centre for Accountancy Studies (ZCAS) was enacted through an Act of Parliament (ZCAS Act No. 1 of 1989) for the purpose of training accountants, promoting research and advancement of learning in accountancy, finance, and related studies, providing advisory and consultancy services, and for related matters.
\nZCAS seeks to recruit a qualified and experienced person to fill the position of:
\nLECTURER (FINANCIAL REPORTING & TAXATION)
\nJOB PURPOSE:
\nReporting to Programme Coordinator, the position is responsible for preparing and delivering lectures and tutoring students studying professional programmes such as ACCA, CIMA and CA Zambia to enable them pass examinations and qualify as Chartered accountants. Additionally, the lecturer is responsible for undertaking research, consultancy and advocacy activities for the Centre.
\nMAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
\nFacilitates learning in Financial Reporting and Taxation at intermediate and final stages of professional accountancy courses to students using face to face and E-learning platform modes of delivery.
\nProvides academic support that enhances learning and personal development.
\nEnsures implementation of teaching and learning quality assurance systems aimed at customer satisfaction.
\nConducts quality research and publishes articles that feed into ZCAS internal learning processes and industry.
\nCarries out consultancy and advisory services in business and related fields.
\nPerforms any other duties lawfully assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
\nQUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
\nGrade 12 with a minimum of five (5) \u201cO\u201d levels including English and Mathematics.
\nFull Professional Accountancy qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or ZICA.
\nMaster\u2019s degree in finance, accounting, or business \u2013 related field from an accredited University.
\nCertification in Teaching Methodology
\nPhD will be an added advantage.
\nFive (5) years post qualifying work experience in teaching at tertiary level, having taught Financial Reporting and Taxation at intermediate and final stages of professional accountancy courses.
\nConversant with financial reporting and taxation business systems.
\nMust be a fully paid-up Member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) for the year 2026.
\nMust be Computer literate.
