\nWe are seeking a motivated and self-driven\u00a0Accountant\u00a0to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day functions Accounting and Financial activities. They will have a responsibility for maintaining accurate and up-to date accounting and financial records in compliance with regulatory requirements and coordinate an efficient Finance function.

Key Responsibilities
\nFinancial Management:<\/p>\n
Ensure financial compliance of organisational policies and local regulatory frameworks
\nSupport the budgeting process, preparing proposal budgets, Track the budget, ensuring variances are kept to an acceptable minimal
\nMonitor and control the country cashflow requirements and cash security to ensure the smooth implementation of the country operations
\nPrepare timely financial reports, where necessary manage cash request process
\nMaintain accounting policies and procedures
\nAdvising on how to reduce costs and increase profits
\nMonitor and support taxation requirements<\/p>\n
Accounting Functions<\/p>\n
Posting entries into the accounting system
\nMaintain good banking relations.
\nManagement of bank accounts, ensuring resources are always available for country program activities
\nKeep financial records up to date ensuring they are accurately captured and coded
\nPrepare bank reconciliations on time
\nReconcile the manual fixed asset register with accounting system on a timely basis
\nManage field (sales and other budgeted activities) financial operations, ensuring complete compliance
\nManage petty cash, file and serialize the petty cash vouchers<\/p>\n
Reporting<\/p>\n
Creating periodic reports, such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, Management Account Reports.
\nEnsure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close process<\/p>\n
Must Have Job Requirements:<\/p>\n
Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance or relevant degree, Certification is a plus.
\nA minimum of 5 years experience in financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, financial data analysis, auditing, taxation in Zambia.
\nHands-on experience with accounting software such as Microsoft.
\nStrong understanding of the Zambia financial regulatory Frameworks
\nExcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
\nStrong attention to detail and good analytical skills<\/p>\n
