\nOut-Grower Poultry Business Manager (Layers & Broilers)
\nAbout the Role:
\nWe are looking for a\u00a0strategic and results-driven Poultry Business Manager\u00a0to lead the Business Section of our Out-grower Layers and Broilers division. This critical role requires\u00a0strong business acumen and execution capabilities, ensuring profitability, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth. The ideal candidate will have\u00a0proven leadership in poultry production,\u00a0a\u00a0sharp commercial mindset,\u00a0and the ability to drive performance through effective planning, decision-making, and team management. This role demands a\u00a0hands-on approach\u00a0to optimizing operations, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring financial success.
\nKey Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Oversee all Out-grower operations, ensuring efficiency and profitability.
\nSupport and hold area managers accountable for performance and growth.
\nDevelop and implement production plans, including chick placements and slaughter schedules.
\nEnsure timely feed allocation, vaccinations, upliftment and cost-effective logistics support.
\nEnsure the recruitment and training of new out-growers, ensuring compliance with company standards.
\nStrong management of budgets, cost models, and financial performance of the division.
\nOversee reporting, stock control, and data management for all Out-grower activities.
\nConduct leadership and discipleship training for field officers and outgrowers.<\/p>\n
\u00a0Requirements:<\/p>\n
Strong knowledge of poultry husbandry (broilers & layers).
\nExperience in production planning, logistics, and financial management.
\nHistory of business management and controls.
\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
\nAbility to lead, mentor, and develop teams.
\nStrong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
\nWillingness to uphold company values and ethical standards.<\/p>\n
Qualifications:<\/p>\n
Batchelors Degree in Animal Science
\nManagement Degree
\nGeneral agriculture or equivalent<\/p>\n
\u201cAll candidates are required to obtain their ZAQA certification from the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA)\u201d
