Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator- Crushers and Conveying, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe efficient operation of maintenance artisans through the effective utilization of all resources provided.
\nYour Duties and Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:<\/p>\n
Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of Boilermakers, Fitters, Lubricators, Contractors, and associated equipment in accordance with plant policies, safety standards, and maintenance procedures.
\nManage shift rosters, annual leave, sick leave, and other workforce scheduling requirements to ensure adequate shift coverage and operational continuity.
\nConduct daily toolbox talks and safety meetings to reinforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
\nReview, prioritize, and execute weekly maintenance schedules, ensuring critical and high-priority maintenance activities are completed efficiently and effectively.
\nEnsure the development, implementation, and regular updating of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all maintenance tasks within the function.
\nOperate in full compliance with established maintenance procedures and directives issued by the Maintenance Coordinator.
\nEvaluate maintenance performance, identify gaps, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
\nPromote\u00a0safe work practices and always ensure adherence to statutory and company safety regulations.<\/p>\n
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n
Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
\nMinimum of Advanced Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Metal Fabrication, or a related discipline.
\nMinimum of three (3) years\u2019 proven experience in crushers and conveyor structural maintenance within a mining or heavy industrial environment.
\nStrong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and experience working with SAP or a similar Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or any Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
\nDemonstrated ability to take initiative, drive performance, and contribute positively to continuous improvement initiatives within a results-driven environment.
\nValid Zambian Driver\u2019s License.
\nMember of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).<\/p>\n
