The ideal candidate will play a key role in promoting TNC\u2019s conservation efforts, engage with diverse audiences, and amplify an African voice in our digital communication strategies and channels. The Social Media Intern will work closely with the Digital Communications and Social Media Manager to enhance the work of the Africa Marketing and Communications team through developing and curating compelling and relevant content for various social media platforms \u2013 Instagram, Meta, X, Linkedin, TikTok, and YouTube \u2013 through engaging visuals, stories, and multimedia elements.<br \/>\nWe\u2019re Looking for You to:<br \/>\nRESPONSIBILITIES<br \/>\nContent creation for various social media platforms, with a strong focus on video formats (short and long form) reels, including but not limited to, static images, carousels, graphics, and more.<br \/>\nAmplify the African voice by ensuring social media content reflects an authentic African voice and perspective.<br \/>\nCollaborate with stakeholders to highlight their stories and contributions.<br \/>\nCommunity engagement \u2013 foster a sense of community and interaction among our online audience by responding to comments, messages, and inquires with a focus on building meaningful connections.<br \/>\nCollaborate with leadership to align social media strategies with regional priorities.<br \/>\nContribute ideas and initiatives that empower the people of Africa in environmental conservation efforts.<br \/>\nMonitor social media analytics to measure the impact of campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.<br \/>\nProvide regular insights on key performance indicators for continuous improvement.<br \/>\nWork is diversified and may not always fall under established practices and guidelines.<br \/>\nWhat You\u2019ll Bring:<br \/>\nMINIMMAL QUALIFICATIONS<br \/>\nUniversity bachelor\u2019s degree in a field relevant to Business, Agribusiness, Information Technology, Marketing, Communication, or other relevant fields and 6 months of related experience.<br \/>\nFamiliarity with visual storytelling and\/or design best practices.<br \/>\nAbility to work collaboratively in a multicultural and diverse team.<br \/>\nExcellent and verbal communication skills, with a proficiency in English.<br \/>\nExperience, coursework, or other training in principles and practices of relevant field.<br \/>\nWillingness to commit and demonstrate TNC core values.<br \/>\nDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS<br \/>\nUniversity bachelor\u2019s degree in a field relevant to Business, Agribusiness, Information Technology, Marketing, Communication, or other relevant fields and 6 months of related experience.<br \/>\nAlready graduated, not presently in school\/college.<br \/>\nPrior training in different communication and analysis tools (Social media platforms, value chain analysis tools, Marketing and Outreach,) \u2013 an added advantage<br \/>\nExperience with social media platforms and social media trends.<br \/>\nExperience creating and editing short-form video content (reels for Instagram or Facebook) using digital editing tools.<br \/>\nMulti-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience are appreciated.<br \/>\nGraphic design and multimedia skills are a plus.<br \/>\nExperience working in partnership with others in a collaborative role.<br \/>\nWho We Are:<br \/>\nThe Nature Conservancy\u2019s mission is to protect the lands and waters upon which all life depends.
