\nPosition: Information Services Support Technician \u2013 Assistant
\nReporting To: Information Systems Support \/ Operations Manager.
\nContract type: Fixed Term Contract ( Renewable based on Performance)
\nRole Overview:\u00a0To provide support, implementation, and maintenance of various technologies managed by the Information Systems (IS) Department. This includes assisting in troubleshooting and maintaining computer hardware, software systems, and other devices utilised by the IS section. The role also involves delivering help desk support to all staff members.
\nKey Responsibilities:
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
Technical Support:\u00a0Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and network issues.
\nSystem Maintenance:\u00a0Perform routine checks and ensure system uptime.
\nUser Management:\u00a0Manage user accounts and access rights securely.
\nSoftware & Updates:\u00a0Install, configure, and update software systems.
\nAsset Management:\u00a0Track IT equipment and software licenses.
\nDocumentation:\u00a0Maintain records of issues, resolutions, and user guides.
\nTraining & Onboarding:\u00a0Support users with IT training and promote best practices.
\nCollaboration:\u00a0Coordinate with departments and escalate complex issues.
\nSecurity & Compliance:\u00a0Support cybersecurity efforts and respond to incidents.<\/p>\n
Requisite Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
Full Grade 12 Certificate
\n2-4 years\u2019 hands-on experience in IS support, networking, and hardware\/software maintenance.
\nMinimum Diploma in Information Systems or equivalent (degree is an advantage)
\nStrong troubleshooting, communication, and planning skills are essential.
\nAzure Fundamentals AZ-900 or MD-102: Endpoint Administrator (ideal)
\nCompTIA Network +. Cisco CCNA or Meraki ECMS1 (Preferred)
\nITIL Foundation<\/p>\n
