\nPosition : Head of Housekeeping
\nDepartment : Housekeeping
\nReporting : Assistant Camp Manager
\nLocation: Lower Zambezi
\nJob Purpose
\nTo manage and supervise all housekeeping operations within the lodge to ensure guest rooms, guest areas, and staff areas are maintained to exceptional cleanliness, comfort, and presentation standards, while ensuring efficient use of resources and delivering a high-quality safari guest experience.
\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\u00a0Be aware of daily guest movements and ensure the housekeeping team is kept briefed at all times.
\nEnsure Villas are cleaned as per style, standards policy, and procedures, using a checklist at all times.
\nPrepare weekly Rosters for the housekeeping department.
\nEnsure that all front-of-house and public areas are kept clean at all times.
\nEnsure to follow the Standard Operating Procedures in place for deck treatments, brasso, silvo etc.
\nMaintain a professional and polite code of conduct when in guests Villas.
\nTraining of junior housekeepers.
\nEnsure the housekeeping whiteboard is updated regularly so the team is well aware of any information relating to guests and their movements
\nEnsure guests\u2019 laundry is done and returned to the guest within the lodge\u2019s standards timeline.
\nDaily issuing of housekeeping and laundry stocks.
\nConduct weekly stock take.
\nEnsure\u00a0breakages, missing items, and damages are reported within a timely fashion.
\nEnsure the housekeeping team maintains hygiene standards at all times i.e clean uniform daily, no body odour, neatly groomed etc
\nEnsure that all maintenance issues are reported to the maintenance team\u00a0immediately and followed up.<\/p>\n

Excellent organizational and team management skills
\nStamina to handle the physical demands of the job
\nKeen attention to detail with excellent follow-through capabilities
\nAbility to focus intently on ensuring consistent, high-quality personalized\u00a0service<\/p>\n
Qualifications:<\/p>\n
Full\u00a0Grade 12 certificate.
\nDiploma in Hospitality Management
\n6+ years of relevant experience\u00a0is required.<\/p>\n
