\nAbout the Role:
\nOur client is seeking a\u00a0Senior IT Infrastructure & Network Engineer\u00a0to manage and maintain critical IT infrastructure, network systems, and security environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, and security of the organization\u2019s IT systems while supporting infrastructure deployment projects and maintaining operational efficiency.
\nThis role requires a highly skilled professional with hands-on experience in networking, virtualization, server administration, and security systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining infrastructure uptime, managing vendor relationships, and supporting the deployment and maintenance of LAN, server, and surveillance systems.
\nThe role requires strong troubleshooting abilities, operational discipline, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth IT operations and reliable service delivery.
\nKey Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Perform vendor management activities, including coordinating with ISPs, telecom providers, and other third-party service providers.
\nCarry out LAN, surveillance, and server deployment projects across the organization.
\nInstall, configure, and maintain networking equipment including routers, switches, and firewalls.
\nManage and maintain both physical and virtual IT infrastructure environments.
\nAdminister virtualization platforms including VMware environments as well as SAN and NAS storage systems.
\nImplement and manage backup methodologies and technologies to ensure data protection and disaster recovery readiness.
\nInstall and maintain CCTV systems, including NVR configuration and remote viewing setup.
\nInstall, configure, and administer Windows Server environments including Active Directory (AD DS).
\nManage and maintain the hardware and software inventory of the client\u2019s infrastructure including servers, network appliances, and software licenses or subscription contracts.
\nReceive, analyze, and respond to reported technical issues from clients while documenting and escalating issues where necessary.
\nEnsure infrastructure uptime of at least 99% through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
\nMonitor network performance and security while addressing vulnerabilities and threats.
\nPerform routine infrastructure maintenance including firmware upgrades, operating system patching, antivirus updates, and security policy implementation.
\nConduct root cause analysis for recurring system issues and maintain clear technical documentation.
\nCollaborate with internal teams and support staff to ensure efficient and reliable IT service delivery.<\/p>\n
Desired Skills and Experience:<\/p>\n
Strong knowledge of TCP\/IP networking including WAN, LAN, and VLAN environments.
\nExperience installing and configuring routers, switches, and firewalls.
\nSolid understanding of both physical and virtual infrastructure environments.
\nHands-on experience with VMware virtualization platforms and SAN\/NAS storage environments.
\nExperience implementing backup methodologies and technologies.
\nExtensive troubleshooting experience with strong attention to detail.
\nStrong operational discipline and problem-solving skills.
\nExperience conducting root cause analysis and maintaining proper technical documentation.
\nExperience installing and managing CCTV systems including NVR setup and remote viewing configuration.
\nExperience installing and administering Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
\nAbility to work effectively as a strong team player in a collaborative environment.
\nProactive attitude with the ability to manage multiple technical priorities simultaneously.<\/p>\n
Qualifications:<\/p>\n
Minimum of\u00a05 years\u2019 relevant experience\u00a0in IT infrastructure, networking, or systems administration with traceable references.
\nFull Grade 12 Certificate\u00a0with at least a\u00a0Credit in Mathematics and English.
\nDegree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related IT field.
\nValid professional certifications (any two required):\u00a0HPE, Cisco, Veeam, VMware, Fortinet, Sophos, Microsoft, or Azure (free certifications will not be accepted).
\nValid Driver\u2019s License.<\/p>\n
