\nJob Purpose
\nThe Electrician will be responsible for inspecting, installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment on company projects. The role ensures that electrical installations operate efficiently, safely, and reliably to support uninterrupted site operations while adhering to company safety standards and regulatory requirements.
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Key Responsibilities
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Conduct routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems and installations on site.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, control systems, and electrical equipment.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Diagnose electrical faults, breakdowns, and malfunctions and rectify them in a timely and efficient manner.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Carry out preventive and scheduled maintenance to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Ensure safe and proper use of electrical tools, equipment, and materials.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Adhere strictly to company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Ensure electrical work complies with relevant safety standards and regulations.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and breakdown reports.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other technical personnel to ensure efficient site operations.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Support electrical installations for construction activities such as temporary site power, equipment connections, and lighting systems.

\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Grade 12 School Certificate.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Advanced Craft Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Membership with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ)
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience, preferably in the construction, engineering, or mining industry.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Knowledge of electrical maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting.
\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) practices will be an added advantage.
