\nThe Lusaka South Multi-Facility Economic Zone Limited is a member of the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) Group of Companies. The Zone is a strategic industrial hub established to promote value addition, manufacturing, export development and sustainable economic growth. It plays a pivotal role in attracting both local and foreign direct investment and supporting Zambia\u2019s industrialization agenda.<\/p>\n
Job Purpose
\nTo provide strategic and results-driven leadership for the development and management of LS- MFEZ in order to achieve sustainable industrial growth, enhance investment attraction and contribute meaningfully to national economic development.
\nKey Responsibilities
\n1. Policy and Governance<\/p>\n
Lead the development, implementation and review of policies, guidelines, strategies and procedures in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
\nProvide strategic leadership and ensure timely preparation and submission of quarterly and statutory reports to the Board.
\nJournalism & News Industry
\n2. Strategic Planning and Sustainability
\nOversee the preparation and implementation of strategic and operational plans aligned to approved budgets and work plans.
\nLead the development and management of annual budgets, funding frameworks and revenue streams.<\/p>\n
Drive initiatives aimed at transitioning the Zone towards financial sustainability.
\n3.Legal Compliance and Risk Management
\nEnsure provision of sound legal advice, effective contract management and regulatory compliance.<\/p>\n

\nOversee internal audit and risk management systems to safeguard institutional integrity and ensure strong governance controls.
\n4. Infrastructure Development and Operations
\nProvide oversight on planning, design and coordination of strategic infrastructure projects including roads, utilities (water, power), ICT, residential and commercial facilities. Supervise day-to-day operations of the Zone, including utilities, logistics and the One- Stop-Shop investor facilitation services.
\n5. Business Development and Investment Promotion
\nLead the identification, targeting and attraction of local and foreign investors.
\nActively market the Zone in priority sectors including technology, pharmaceuticals, medical tourism and other approved sectors.
\nPosition LS-MFEZ as a preferred regional investment destination.
\n6. Financial and Procurement Oversight
\nEnsure prudent financial management, accountability and resource mobilization. Oversee transparent, compliant and cost-effective procurement processes.<\/p>\n

\n7. Human Resource and Administration
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
Provide overall leadership of the Human Resource Strategy.
\nEnsure effective employee relations, grievance management and compliance with labour laws.
\nPromote continuous professional development and performance management systems.
\n8 Stakeholder Engagement and Corporate Image
\nStrengthen strategic partnerships with Government agencies, private sector players, developers and international corporations.
\nChampion corporate communications and brand visibility initiatives to enhance public image and investor confidence.
\n9. Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting
\nOversee monitoring and evaluation of business development and operational performance. Ensure timely preparation and submission of mandatory strategic and operational reports.

\nMinimum Qualifications and Experience
\nEducational Qualifications<\/p>\n
Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
\nBachelor\u2019s Degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related field.
\nMBA or Master\u2019s Degree in a relevant field.
\nMembership to a relevant professional body.<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
Minimum of 10 years\u2019 relevant experience, with at least 7 years at Senior Management level.
\nDemonstrated experience in managing large-scale investments, infrastructure development, financing and strategic partnerships.<\/p>\n
