\nThe\u00a0key purpose\u00a0of this role is to be responsible for a forklift to load, offload, move, stage and stack empties, crates, finished product and wooden pallets in the warehouse and also to count stocks.
\n\u00a0
\nKey roles and responsibilities:
\nProductivity:<\/p>\n
Timeously loading of trucks within stipulated standards
\nCorrect and accurate loading of trucks according to the loading\/picking slip.
\n\u00a0Correct date codes (expiry dates) loading on trucks
\nStock rotation
\nTimeously offloading of trucks within stipulated standards
\nStacking of empties and finished product in designated areas
\nTransferring of empties into Packaging
\nTransferring of finished product from Packaging into Warehouse
\nStripping packaging receipts
\nStripping imports, outbound and inbound trucks
\nStripping packaging receipts
\nStripping imports, outbound and inbound trucks
\nNew glass injection and sorted glass stacking process.
\nParticipate in daily, monthly, and annual stock counts
\nConduct any task assigned which requires use of a forklift<\/p>\n

\nHousekeeping\/ 5S:<\/p>\n
Maintain clean work environment by keeping bins, pallet area and workstations neat
\nUpdate 5S boards daily in your area
\nEmptying waste skips
\nEnsure 5S is entrenched and implemented in your work area
\nReduce\/minimise breakages and maintain package quality
\nConduct daily stacking adherence audits and discuss in the shift handover meetings<\/p>\n

\nSafety:<\/p>\n
Maintain a safe work environment by not endangering yourself and others
\nConduct daily pre-trip inspections on forklift
\nWear the correct Personal Protective Equipment
\nEntrench and adhere to all company safety standards
\nFollow safe operating procedures and work instructions at all time.
\nReport safety hazards, accidents and incidents to your supervisor
\nObserve all Covid 19 Safety Guidelines \/ Protocols
\nOperate a forklift as per safety speed limit of 15 km\/h
\nApply VPO\/DPO practices in daily operational activities and tasks
\nParticipate in VPO Logistics pillar implementation and execution
\nInitiate and participate in problem solving sessions by using VPO problem solving tools such as 5Whys, OWDs and AB reports
\nParticipate in people engagement
\ncommittees when required
\nEnsure quality standard of the products is maintained<\/p>\n
