Key destination countries include\u00a0the Netherlands, Italy, the United States, China, India, and regional partners like Lesotho.The mining operations are done in the southern part of Zambia in Siavonga Sianyolo Area.<br \/>\nThe Company is now Recruiting for the following position\u00a0Shift Foreman\/Supervisor .<br \/>\nThe Company is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill this vacancy.The Ideal and prospective Shift Supervisor\/Foreman\u00a0will\u00a0ensures safe, efficient, and cost-effective daily extraction, managing teams, equipment, and production targets (drilling, blasting, loading, hauling). Key responsibilities include enforcing safety regulations (Mine Health &amp; Safety Act), conducting risk assessments, managing labor, maintaining production schedules, and reporting.<br \/>\nJob Purpose<br \/>\nTo supervise, coordinate, and control all mining activities during a specific shift to meet production targets while ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0Safety Leadership:\u00a0Enforce strict compliance with safety regulations (e.g., OSHA\/Mine Health &amp; Safety Act), conduct daily risk assessments, perform, and review safety inspections.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0Production Execution:\u00a0Plan and direct daily activities for pit operations (drilling, loading, hauling, dumping), ensuring targets are met.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0Operational Optimization:\u00a0Monitor equipment utilization, identify bottlenecks, and adjust operations to maximize productivity.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0Team Management:\u00a0Conduct pre-shift briefings (parades), assign tasks, train\/mentor personnel, and manage performance.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0Reporting &amp; Documentation:\u00a0Maintain accurate records of production, equipment maintenance, and incidents; complete, sign, and submit shift logbooks\/reports.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0Incident Response:\u00a0Lead investigations into accidents or incidents, complete root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.<br \/>\nRequired Qualifications and Skills<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0Experience:\u00a05+ years of experience as a supervisor in an open-pit mining environment.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0Technical Knowledge:\u00a0Strong understanding of heavy equipment, mining techniques (drilling\/blasting), and safety procedures.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0Education:\u00a0Degree or a minimum of a High school diploma; technical or vocational training in mining is preferred.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0Skills:\u00a0Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to work under pressure.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0Certification:\u00a0Valid, recognized blasting license\u00a0or relevant supervisor certification a must have.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0Valid Silicosis certificate, First Aid certification, and membership with the Occupational Health and Safety Institute (OHSI).<br \/>\nKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0Zero Harm (Safety incidents\/injuries).<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0Production targets vs. Actual output.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0Equipment utilization and downtime.<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0Compliance with SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).<br \/>\n\u00b7\u00a0Valid Drivers License<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
