\nThe key purpose\u00a0of this role is the operation of the utilities steam plant and the execution of quality control checks and monitoring. The BOP Utilities Operator will also support the
\nUtilities Technical Operator in the monitoring and operation of the utilities plant.

Monitor utilities plant performance<\/p>\n
Measure performance attributes
\nConduct First Line maintenance tasks and schedules.
\nApply OHS procedures
\nMaintain workplace safety, housekeeping and risk-free standards
\nOptimise production performance
\nOperate plant and process equipment<\/p>\n

\nMonitor processes<\/p>\n
Interpret production plan
\nMaintain the utilities operation
\nEnsure quality control of utilities supply
\nReport plant, machine and process problems
\nConduct autonomous operator maintenance
\nConduct operator breakdown maintenance tasks
\nWork in teams
\nCommunicate effectively in the workplace
\nContribute to self and team development
\nPrepare boilers and other plant for government inspections

\nMinimum Requirements:<\/p>\n
Full Craft Certificate\/Diploma\/Degree in Electrical Engineering
\n2-3 years\u2019 experience in preferably in industrial coal\/oil\/gas-fired boilers
\nKnowledge of combustion control, water treatment, and boiler automation systems
\nFTC (Mech \/ Elec) or Electromechanical preferred. Professional Certification: Boiler Operator Certificate (Class I or II) preferred.
\nPC literacy (Microsoft office)
\nPhysical strength, auditory acuity; visual acuity
\nExperience in boilers will be an advantage<\/p>\n
