\n(1)\u00a0 Purpose of the Job:<\/p>\n
Leads in conducting information systems audits covering all vulnerable areas of the Authority to ensure effective management of internal control processes and procedures to enhance governance, risk management and internal controls.
\n(2)\u00a0 Statements of Main Accountabilities
\na)\u00a0Contributes to the development and review of internal audit policies and procedure
\nb)\u00a0\u00a0Assists the Manager Internal Audit in preparing and subsequent monitoring of audit plans and programs which ensure among others, total coverage of all risk-prone areas of the Authority.
\nc) Evaluates the Authority\u2019s information systems internal controls to ensure their adequacy and effectiveness
\nd)\u00a0Prepares audit programs covering auditable areas to detect and seal evident and latent weaknesses and recommend improvements
\ne) Conducts scheduled and ad hoc audits. Determines the scope and target areas of the audits to achieve the intended objectives
\nf)\u00a0Evaluates internal control systems in the current operation procedures and practices in terms of their adequacy and effectiveness in\u00a0 \u00a0managing risks
\ng)\u00a0\u00a0Produces draft audit reports outlining all findings and appropriate recommendations.
\nh) Follows up with management to ensure recommended remedial actions are implemented<\/p>\n

\n(3) Knowledge and Skill Requirements:<\/p>\n
General Education:\u00a0Full Grade 12 certificate
\nProfessional\/Academic\u00a0Qualifications:<\/p>\n
Degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification
\nMember of Institute of Internal Auditors or ISACA<\/p>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 c.\u00a0 \u00a0Relevant Pre-Job Experience:
\nThe job requires 3 to 5 years relevant experience.
