Profile<\/p>\n
Yara Fertilizer Zambia Limited is looking to fill the permanent position of a Finance Clerk in Lusaka, Zambia, reporting to the Accountant and assisting with the smooth running of the finance department.<\/p>\n
Role and Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Vendors
\nMonthly vendor reconciliations.
\nWeekly intercompany reconciliations and reporting.
\nZambia travel guide
\nAssistance with posting vendor invoices
\nAssistance with raising purchase orders and coding transport vendor invoices,
\nScanning and recording of proof of deliveries to effect clearing of payments.
\nAssistance with weekly clearing of manual payments on vendor accounts.
\nIdentify unposted invoices at month end and create accruals journal for missing costs.<\/p>\n
General Ledger
\nAssist with month end journals.
\nMonthly clearing of control accounts in Enterprise Resource Planning System; SAP.
\nCash and Bank
\nPosting petty cash transactions on SAP.
\nPosting weekly Citibank and Stanbic bank allocations.
\nPost the Cashpooler Account at month end.<\/p>\n
Prepare and upload the weekly cash reports.
\nPrepare and post monthly foreign exchange reevaluation journals for the cashbooks.
\nOther
\nDaily compilation and distribution of sales performance dashboard.
\nAssist with the annual collection and forwarding of audit items to designated audit firm.
\nAssist with year-end verification of fixed assets.
\nPosting of sales invoices in the ZRA Smart Invoice Portal
\nSupport the accountant with monthly filing of rental tax, RVAT and VAT where required.
\nAssist with financial tasks as required by the Accountant and Financial Controller<\/p>\n
Functional Knowledge<\/p>\n
Good understanding of the procedure to pay process.
\nUnderstanding of the business impact of non-payment of vendors.
\nGood knowledge of Withholding tax, VAT and corporate tax.
\nMicrosoft Office software, email, internet etc.
\nExposure to and knowledge of SAP or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system<\/p>\n

\nAccuracy and attention to detail are essential.
\nReconciliations and analytics<\/p>\n

\nFluent written and spoken English and good communication skills.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
Completion of Secondary School.
\nMinimum of 2 years\u2019 work experience in a similar position.<\/p>\n
